Do all of college football fans feel like this?

Those 400+ passing yards says No. If anything it proves Saban still hasn't figured out the HUNH.

I barely need to respond to such an asinine statement.
I understand you didn't start the "hypothetical game," but that doesn't mean you need to respond with a dumb hypothetical game of your own.
2011 Alabama was the best team in the country. Still, incredibly fortunate to be in the title game.
And to act as if they were "3-4 plays away" from winning 5 in a row, when Ohio State was clearly the better team in the game a year ago and out-gained them by like 125 yards is ridiculous.
Be happy with your titles and try not to be so defensive at every single turn. It causes you to make stupid statements like that one.

What a beautiful article

Your emotional post the eve of the title game honestly explained a lot of your posts on here for me.

Wrong. Nick Saban is the GOAT, this has never been done before, and won't be done again for a long time. When Bama falls, there will be wide open parity again
Actually, I'm fairly certain Notre Dame did this in the forties but yes I get your point. It is very unlikely to happen again with the way college football is at the moment and foreseeable future

quote:Take a long look at Bama's. If OJ Howard comes back, Bama will start a 5* at every skill position on offense, except the slot. Adarius Stewart is a freak so it doesn't make that big of difference. Our QB is already better than yours.
I legitimately think LSU has a shot to beat Bama and win the conference next year. And I'm kind of a pessimist. Les hater. Negatiger at times. All that jazz. But I see LSU's 2016 roster and think "holy shite LSU might actually beat everyone."

I disagree and am confident Harris will improve from his sophomore year to his junior year. Most do.

I didn't start the what-if game. Why are you laughing at facts?
You claimed the only way parity will set in is when Saban leaves and I pointed out that it's already there. Ignoring the luck that is sometimes needed isn't saying anything negative about the program.

When Saban joined the Crimson Tide in 2007, he was taking over a program so stooped in its own history, so blood-thirsty in its desire to be great again, that any perspective?—?and that’s hard to find in Alabama, anyways?—?had been lost

You can't have parity and the most dominant dynasty of all time. Those are polar opposites. One team is winning almost everything. That's not parity.

I think Aranda is LSU's version of Kiffin.
Not in the same sense, of course. Kiffin was a way for Saban to keep up with the changes in college football, and find a way to outscore teams when he needs to (mainly spread teams). But, in the end, it was probably the biggest coordinator hire Saban has ever made.
Aranda will be that for Les. Chavis was a great defensive coordinator. But I always thought he underutilized what he had, both at Tennessee and LSU. He didn't bring a lot of pressure on defense, he didn't try to dictate things or attack too much on defense (minus the one year he had Mathieu); he just relied on NFL athletes and made sure they were always in the right positions (we rarely had coverage busts with Chavis).
Aranda will be a lot more of a tactician and just more aggressive in general. I think he brings a very unique defensive mindset to the table that many offensive coaches in this league might take a little while to get used to. If Beckwith stays to go along with Neal, that only helps even more. He's going to try to get after the passer. That philosophy, combined with Orgeron coaching the defensive line (we saw a ton of stunts this past season and a huge improvement in edge pass rush), and I think LSU will have the best defense we've had since 2011.
Obviously, the offense will need to pull its weight, but the offensive line should be better (on paper), and Fournette is still Fournette.
There is talent all over the field for LSU, and we have a favorable schedule because we play Alabama at home. This is a really exciting team.

Disagree.
Look at the gap closing between the smaller conferences and the power 5 conferences. Look even at the gap between the FCS and FBS schools.
There is more parity now than ever in college football, and I don't even think there's much of a debate about that.
Which just makes what Alabama is doing even that much more impressive.

Les said a week or so ago that LSU will be implementing more spread plays into the offense
