Your team finished last last year and you are going into this season with a new head coach.

South Carolina is the easy money pick for last in the East this year. Sorry to say it, and I'm not going to wager against you, because I like South Carolina. It's been fun beating the piss out of your program all these years and they're probably my second favorite SEC team.

4. Arkansas - Returns a lot on defense and added new secondary coach Paul Rhodes which should be an upgrade. Austin Allen is a new starter but he's a redshirt junior and is more seasoned than your typical new starter. Team's potential hinges on the offensive line that lost 3 starters. Undervalued amount of playmakers on offense.

5. A&M - Offense should be explosive and defense ok.

2015
Scoring D: A&M-28, Ark-68
Total D: A&M-51, Ark-58

Both are returning 9 starters I believe.

A&M will have the better defense again.

Won't argue with you there. Arkansas passing D was atrocious last season. If they can just become "ok" I'll be happy and it should mean our defense overall is pretty good since I think the D line will be pretty salty.

There's a difference between a Sophomore with 19 career attempts and a 4th year junior with 19 career attempts. Not to mention his dad is a former college football coach, his bro is in the NFL, and during the limited time he saw against Ole Miss two years ago when his brother went down he looked pretty good. He's a 4 star out of high school who is head and shoulders above the other 3 four star QB's we have on campus. Not a reach to say he's more "seasoned" than your typical first year starting QB.

I am pretty sure football experience doesn't happen on the sideline or from your DNA.

He may be a very good Looking QB and i think everyone woudl rather a 4th year new starter over a 2nd year. But he isn't seasoned. Hell he is less seasoned than His brother was when he took over, Less seasoned than Harris was last year. Nothing prepares you for speed of the game other than playing it in a game.

If anyone really knew the final outcome, he/she would be a millionaire from betting.

There's also a difference between holding the clipboard watching Anthony Jennings and holding the clipboard and watching one of the best QB's in the country. Austin Allen was right next to his brother witnessing the transformation from mediocre/poor QB play to excellent QB play over 3 seasons. That's not a substitute for game experience but you can't say there's no value in that for the 2nd string QB on the sidelines.

Its better than sitting behind a shitty QB for sure.

Listen I woudl rather a 4th year guy if I had to start a QB with 19 passes to his name. But he isn't seasoned. He is just older. Which is good. Just different.

Personally, I don't see a lot of daylight between UGA and UF this season but it's hard to look at Florida's latter half of the season and not wonder which Florida team was real. Those last games are why people are picking UGA over UF. (And yes, I know Treon sucked but there was more to it than just him - the entire team just seemed to fall apart during that time frame.)

That said, early on Florida may be the bigger challenge. Del Rio should come out of the gates with a bit more seasoning than Eason will but Eason will eventually start catching up to the learning curve he faces. UT and UF both have defenses that can punish veteran QBs and will likely make Eason's life absolute hell but UGA still has Chubb and Michel.

I feel pretty good about slowing those two down enough to win but does Florida have the front to do that? (That's an honest question based on some of your defensive losses to the draft). If Florida can minimize the run and force UGA to throw then it will certainly work to your advantage but that may be easier said than done. Of course, with Chaney it may not be as hard as it would be to force the pass.

Arkansas is 13-9 all time against SC and has lost the last 2 games by 45 points and 18 points.

The average score all time between the two is Arky 26.5 to SC 22.5

Yeah, you've really beaten the piss out of our program alright.

Yeah, well not much is expected out of the bottom four. We won't finish last in the West because we play the other three bottom teams at home. We have a good chance to win at least two of those.
