Last I checked the game was tied when he was last on the field.

If Bielema had Kyle Allen instead of Brandon Allen, he'd be competing for the division.

And you would both still lose to Mizzou...

He really beefed his numbers up vs a weak OOC

OOC:
60 % CP
10 TD 0 INT
8.63 YPA
171.3 Rating

SEC:
54.5 %
10 TD 5 INT
6.10 YPA
114.5 Rating

He's decent at best.

His SEC numbers got a little diluted by the Missouri game where after leading the team to two TD drives on two TD passes midway through the 2nd qtr, he got injured and was not able to throw accurately after that, yet CBB kept him in the game.
After that fast start his stat line ended at 13-30 43% 133 yds.

He was also injured in the Ole Miss game and went 5-10 87 yds before his brother came in to finish the game.

He had some good outings in the other SEC games where he wasn't hurt and had a good bowl game, although he does need to get his completion % up, which I expect he will.

So what you're saying is that he's the Myles Garrett of QB's?

He only throws it to the TE Henry.

Jim Chaney is one hell of a QB coach.

No, he isn't.

New OC/QB coach should be an upgrade

This^^^^^^^^^ is the truth. Why? Dan Enos has personal experience playing QB. Chaney? ...maybe in someone's imagination.

I'm confused, holding them back from what? 6th in the West instead of 7th? A B12 invite?

I'm predicting Arkansas will be a lot better this year, finishing with no more than 3 losses. And no, I haven't had one sip of Kool-Aid.

Seriously??? Jim Chaney is one hell of a QB coach.

It didn't show at Arkansas. He had a stable of 4-star QB's and Allen was the only one he thought was good enough to play. And this thread only exists because many people don't think Allen's any good.

Petrino is one hell of a QB coach. To be kind, Chaney has an innovative system, which isn't even all that great, but he sucked as a QB coach. That's why Arkansas fans were pleading with Bielema to hire a QB coach when Chaney was here.

As for Allen, he really improved late last year. He settled down and began looking, and playing, like he was comfortable. The talent has always been there, but he's had some mental hangups, probably caused by being thrown to the wolves in his freshmen year under Smiley.

He can make every throw, strong arm when he needs it, throws great on sprint outs. He needs his receivers to catch the damn ball. We may have set records in drops the last two years. Looking forward to Jojo Robinson & Dominque Reed to the WR group.

He's very average. Weak arm, not mobile. He may not "hold you back" but he certainly isn't going to win anything for you.

He's fairly mobile he just never runs that often
