The deal with Jeremy Pruitt is what got Fulmer the boot also. If he wasn’t a Vol, he would have been fired as well. But instead they let him “retire” on his on.
The deal with Pruitt come from the Very top. The school chancellor is the one that contacted the NCAA to get Pruitt gone. And it is believed that an Assistant coach is the one that blew the whistle that brought it to light. Some believe it was Tee Martin, but who really knows?
Seemed to me more like Fulmer was up to his old tricks, hired Pruitt to try and hurt Alabama and figured he was someone he could manipulate and eventually stab in the back to pull a Barry Alvarez on.
But the school carried out the investigation in order to find a way to get Pruitt gone without having to pay him, found out a bunch of shite about him and Fulmer. Fulmer ends up getting told to resign because he's the only coach in the past 60 years with any success at Tennessee, but missed his big chance to coach another football game.
I guess it could be that Fulmer is the biggest idiot in the world and the only one who ever thought Pruitt was smart enough to run an entire program. But that just doesn't seem as likely to me.

Freeze was rumored to have bought hookers for minors.
Unless theres a murdering coach the child sex crime would prabably be the worst

The Fulmer Award has been discontinued because the crimes were getting too serious to keep a light-hearted approach. During the time it was awarded, here are the winners.
2006 Marshall
2007 Illinois
2008 Alabama
2009 South Florida
2010 Georgia
2011 Auburn
2012 Arkansas
2013 Vandy
2014 Cal Poly
2015 Rutgers
2016 Colorado
2017 Alcorn State
2018 Rutgers
2019 Bryant U
As you can see, Tennessee never won it, even when Fulmer was coach. The name was just something asinine some asinine asses did to Fulmer.

Fulmer was eligible for 2 years. It was named after him for what happened prior to it existing.
However, Tennessee finished #5 in 2006. I wasn't able to find results for 2007 beyond the winner.

He was a terrible coach, but he wasn't paying players.
That was booster shite.

Now that is funny. Sherrill and Fulmer tops my list. In the other direction I’d say Gene Stallings is the most pious. That man wouldn’t cheat at Yahtzee. Muchless football. A good man to the bone.

Dirtiest SEC coach in history? Phillip Fulmer
This mght be the single stupidest, most uninformed post I have ever seen on the Internet, and I have been on it almost since there was an Internet.
quote:
Had his own award for school with the most arrest.
A slam started by a Florida fan and carried by idiots like you. UT is/was nowhere close to the most lawless.
quote:
So gutless he became a secret witness for the corrupt NCAA. Like a street level dope pusher would to stay out of jail. Just think what kind of person goes along with the NCAA.
Steve Spurrier snitched out Bama, and another fellow also contacted the NCAA about Bama and Albert Means. His name was Houston Nutt, and he wound up at some shite school in Mississippi. A school so insignificant no one can remember who or where.
Fulmer was simply asked to verify whet Spurrier and Nutt had told them. Once again, your incredibly stupid arse is wrong.
quote:That is complete bullshite spread by morons (hi there), and is not based in fact. Please link the story of his arrest.
Team was full of criminals even star Peyton Manning was involved in sexual assault.
quote:
Waited till Johnny Majors was fighting for his life with open heart surgery and stabbed him in his back to get the job.
Once again, you are a stupid, lying jackass without a clue. You are so stupid and uniformed, I wonder how you found the Internet?
Johnny was back on the job, not "fighting for his life", you moron. He got drunk and showed his arse at a big donor/administrator function. His best friend came home and told his daughter, "Johnny just lost his job tonight." Fulmer had nothing to do with Johnny getting fired. Johnny and fifth of Old Loudmouth in his belly got Johnny fired.
quote:On the advice of UT lawyers and SEC Security officials did not attend. Does your stupid arse get anything right?
Refused to go to SEC media days scared of a lawsuit and exposing how dirty he was.
quote:
No other coaches even come close.
There is a POS coach at that shite school in Mississippi whre Houston Nutt made the mistake of accepting a job.
quote:
Other coaches who were let anything go
1. Urban Meyer ran a prison team with a serial killer.
2. Les Miles/Coach O let sexual assault run out of control with players.
Any others
