Exceeded what I thought back in February and even in April. LSU had a great May.

I thought we'd make someone else's regional and lose there. Hosting a Regional and Super I thought were not realistic goals for this year's team.

Hard to be critical of the team with what they have been through. Looking back, I think preseason expectations may have been high considering the talent/leadership that we lost. The team was plenty talented, but very inconsistent, especially at the plate. Looking forward to the development of some very talented freshmen.

Still, they won 43 games, hosted a regional, and showed a ton of guts in playing under the worst circumstances imaginable.

Exceed. Yes,this past weekend was very disappointing. But in mid March making it to Hoover didn't seem like a sure thing.

Nobody expected much, so I guess we met them.

We hired our coach a week before Halloween after firing the old coach who ran off a shite ton of players before he got canned.
Our best pitcher also missed this season after Tommy-John surgery. So yeah, most people expected us to be about last.

If Keegen Thompson can return to his old form, and Anfernee Grier comes back like his family says he will (not expecting him to, drafted 39th) then we just might be able to get back to a regional next year.

My team did not exceed expectations. I'm not happy until daddy Texas puts Aggies back in the bottom where they belong and have spent the past 100 years.

Exceed. Like I said on TRant, after losing to Bama the season felt like a wash since the team was so young and inexperienced.

Considering that the expectation with Childress is to choke in the supers...

Slightly failed to meet expectations. Hoover and a bubble regional team is what I expected this year, but I guess due to all of the turmoil in the program it could have been worse.

LSU definitely over-achieved after replacing 8 of 9 starters and for the first time in years weren't loaded with projected major-leaguers.

Our expectations change during the year. In February , We was hoping to make post season play. When we realized how good of a team we had, the thought possibly national championship. In college sports, it's had to win championship. There isn't a big playoff or best of 7 series like their is in professional sports. Sometimes the best teams don't win.

Although how it ended was disappointing, I think I'd have to say State definitely exceeded expectations after the performance we had last year.
