We will be repeating this all over again next year as we have for the past 5 years. LSU fans get all hyped about the incoming class and what they have returning. At every position, they believe that one of their players is the best in the league and/or nation. They start out strong beating far inferior opponents. Warn the rest of the SEC of the inevitable doom of losing to LSU as the continue to march on to the title. October hits, they get a reality check. November hits, they get a bigger reality check. They then entire fan base attack each other. Negatiger vs. Positiger version 6.0 coming soon.

Or Lewis Neal who had 48 tackles, 9.5 tfl, 8 sacks this year? Neal is 6'2 264 btw.

Davon Godchaux was one of the top DTs in the league this year. 41 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 6 sacks. We will be VERY veteran at DT. We have a senior, 2 4th year juniors and Godchaux the true junior...on top of of a massive recruiting haul that will include Lawrence, Alexander and Logan.

I think LSU is going to be really good on defense but I agree that I am going to have to see your interior guys meet the challenges at the point of attack against physical teams before I accept that they are going to be an elite, Top 5 national unit.

Some NFL guys were saying Beckwith could have been a 1st rounder this year, now I think he would have went 2nd-3rd round this year but with an elevated senior year he has a great shot of being a 1st rounder in 2017 considering his massive size and athleticism.

Neal surprised a lot of people this year. With a different scheme and a more aggressive DC, he could really jump up draft boards, but you're right, I don't see any on our Dline going first round.

that is true, but unlike some hyped-up lsu fans, the outside world is not buying the natty crap. if lsu wins it all, more power to y'all. it will have been earned.

I don't think so. Centers only getting drafted in the first round if they are elite of the elite. Pocic is a very good player, but he is not that good a player. He will be a 2nd-3rd round guy.

Jones wasn't very good in the three losses. Coker destroyed him on a busted play scramble.
