Nice try for the Bama people who tried to drum this shite up just this week and Thursday at that.
I love that you think Bama is behind a USA Today piece. Get real, man.
No one at Bama, I would imagine, is concerned with this because (if they even know about it) are confident that LSU's compliance department looked at this over a year ago.
I bet I speak for 90%+ of Bama fans when I say, I WANT LF to play in the game. He may very well be the reason Bama loses, but I'd rather play against you guys at full strength to see what our D is capable of and, if Bama does win, so there are no excuses. I don't want USA Today to join the list of Refs, schedule, etc.

From the article:
Hopefully the Fournette family tells the NCAA that St. Aug's colors are purple and gold. It's a coincidence that LSU also has the same colors.
St. Aug is a sea of purple and gold.

The Fournettes insisted their son’s name or image not be used on the website, and indeed the apparel that appears on a development version of the website only includes the “BUGA Nation” logo and LSU colors.

Every bit of what 13 said.
Bama fans in this thread know it,is old news to Lsu and are more than likely just stiring the pot a little with the Lsu fans. Nothing will come of this and Bama had nothing to do with the article.
It's about getting hits on the website

Is Fournette an evil genius manipulating the system or just an unwitting, but tacitly endorsing pawn that still deserves to be suspended until this is cleared up and probably beyond? #butPAWL

Source: #LSU compliance officials were aware of BUGA site, consulted w/fam to shut it down bc of possible violations

A source told The Advocate on Thursday night that LSU compliance officials consulted with the Fournette family about the website. The family made a decision to close the site just a day after it opened to prevent possible NCAA violations.
quote:
The site went live Aug. 27, 2014 and sales were halted the next day — two days before Fournette made his college debut in LSU’s season opener against Wisconsin, USA Today reported. No more than a few items were purchased and the orders were not filled — a step to ensure no NCAA rules violations took place, the story says.

That's not even the right idiom. Re-do it, but use Buga branded cleats.

And I'm sure the NCAA has just been sitting back twiddling it's thumbs about this since it happened before he even suited up last year.
