Gotcha.

Would you be saying the same thing if it were an Auburn or UF player though?

I wouldn't be cheering for them in games, but I wouldn't want the NCAA to be their undoing.

Sure. The backlash and vitriol uga fans still spew about Cam is ridiculous. I love how now that the shoes is on the other foot, they change their tune .

I forgot that my opinion is always supposed to fall in with the company line.

Go find a post of mine giving Cam or anybody else shite for taking money. Good luck

It's not an indictment on you personally. But you know many/most uga fans that had their pitchforks out in 2010 are saying the same thing you are now.

I can't speak for those people, but I'm sure that's the case. Those people are wrong.

With the text of the e-mail with the redacted phone number floating around, it's only a matter of time before the guys cell number leaks.

Then the spit will really hit the fan...

It is actually a bit sad, if you stop to think about it.

Grown adults -- with jobs & children & responsibilities -- idolizing a bunch of twenty-year-olds who spend their Saturdays running around wearing brightly-colored spandex pants and fake shoulders.

They get it, but they also see other players getting away with it. Anyone that doesn't believe little Johnny Football got paid to do the same thing is just crazy, and he didn't even need the money. He had plenty of money from his parents to be out having a good time, but Gurley might not, and why should he be punished for the same thing. I think Ga should take a chance and play him, because nothing is probably going to come of this, and why risk a lost, and also ruin this kid's chance at the Heisman.

I don't know what UGA administration will decide to do, but I'd play him and let the "investigation" settle itself down the road. UGA should fight this thing just like aTm did when JFF's autographed stuff saturated ebay.

Hell, JFF held multiple signing sessions in multiple states with autograph athenticators present each time and signed consecutive items into the hundreds. All with photos of him sitting at a table in some hotel room signing for hours.

Does Todd Gurley have an "Uncle Nate"?

they have already determined ineligibility, if they played him, the school would be punished, not just Gurley.

problem is, we are in season. And UGA/Gurley cant claim ignorance because of both Manziel last year and AJ a few years back. If this had happened in the off season, this would be a different story
