Why? He did nothing illegal. I get what you are saying though but we don't need more laws. We need the players to just avoid breaking rules.
The government isn't good at anything.
Imagine one dealer getting accused of getting players to sign for money by another dealer. Now we have to spend money on an investigation, courts, etc...
The answer already exists. Players don't sign for money.

I simply do not understand why players cnt charge a small fee to sign an autograph on campus it would stop the dealers. The athletes would make some pocket money everyone would be happy. I have over 100 autographed mini helmets. I would love to give these athletes my money then these over charging dealers.

1. I don't care whether TG sold his signature. He (and others in similar positions) are funding their schools' athletic departments. Only fair that they get some of the proceeds.
2. Stop acting as if this kid is the sole cause of this debacle. He is just satisfying a market demand. I seriously doubt that Aggies or Bama fans are buying these items. Every Georgia fan who made a purchase was a cause of this suspension.

I have to question the dealer being a possible UF fan has anything to deal with it. Dealers don't turn in rival teams' players because it ruins their name and business. You turn in one player, and your whole business goes down the drain. Why ruin your business just to see a rival player being suspended for possibly a few games? If he was a UF fan, why not wait until the Thursday before the WLOCP to ensure the rival team's best player isn't going to play?

Wow - I did not bring that up as a troll on UF or to encourage bad behavior. BUT, it is an interesting point and it may cause trouble from a few idiots that probably did not matriculate at UGA
TG is solely to blame in this, but if the rumor that his mom pressured him for cash is true, then I cannot in good conscience blame him

Not really. That step in teh process was like 3 steps after the actual cause. The suspension is due to allegedly taking money for autographs. Even after that takes place, the shithead still has to list them, then people buy them. Whether every item sold out within 5 minutes or not a single one was ever purchased, the actual suspension-worthy act had already taken place long beforehand.

It has been addressed, and yes. supposedly.
That's the whole reason this is even public now, becuase the original guy got mad that he wasn't exclusive anymore.

Well as far as I know the ncaa can't punish them and they haven't broken any laws that I known of so good luck with that
