This happens every year at the Tech-Georgia game. He sends his goons to midfield to dance on the logo (home or away) and do their best to start shite and when they run on the field they run down to the other endzone and taunt Tech as they run on the field behind the wreck. Whoever previously posted in this thread about being shocked Richt would allow this and that he is a fraud because he tries to make everyone believe he runs a great program and does things the right way was spot on. He is a fraud but he continues to get a pass. You SEC guys just don't see it as much as we do.

Congrats to Bama for running right past it as if they weren't even there. They showed a lot of poise and class. One of these days they are going to start a melee of epic proportions and it's gonna be bad. I was surprised it didn't happen when he sent them on the field against Florida after the TD years ago but I think the Florida players were so shocked as to what was happening that they froze and did nothing. They probably thought the officials would do something but the Reverend got away with it.

The only thing blown out was UGA's arse.

Teams think they are good because they beat us, then go on to find out the next week that isn't the case, we just suck.

its amazing how soft this thread is

It's less people wringing their hands about what UGA did and more everyone laughing at them doing it then proceeding to get their shite pushed in.

Hope this helps.

Can we now finally admit that what happened between uga and Fairley in 2010 was initiated and inflamed by the classless nature of uga?

Guess at a possible reason: the coaches wanted them to do it for the sake of the recruits at the game. We fans can sit back and laugh and roll our eyes at how stupid and tacky it was, but recruits -- the ones who will actually be playing on these fields come Saturdays next year -- see a team getting hyped up and emotional. It backfired on the field, but it still leaves an impression on 17 and 18 year old football players.

That said, taunting a Saban team is just incredibly stupid. Every Saban team since 2007 had the potential to wipe the floor with even the best opponent if you caught them firing on all cylinders. Why take the chance of pissing them off?

Didn't Richt personally tell the entire team to celebrate that TD in the 2007 WLOCP?

whats most surprising is out of all the classless bs Richt teams have pulled that THIS is the one that raised everyone's ire. granted this incident was very classless and Bama represented themselves with much honor but this one was mild in comparison to many. 2010 AU does come to mind.

What happened in 2010?

(Even without knowing, I'd guess one part is that this was a huge, nationally-televised game. 2010 UGA was deeply mediocre, so the game was less significant.)

I think this one was more the last straw that broke the camel's back kind of thing.

Because I remember the bench clearing celebration in the WLOCP getting tons of press and generating a ton of backlash against Richt and UGA.

In 2010 against AU, Fairley and others thugged back. That doesn't give the media/fans much to work with because it's a "dog bites dog" story.

I doubt yesterday's incident generates as much damning coverage against Richt/UGA if the Bama players had reacted in kind.

The non-reaction from the Bama players made the UGA shenanigans look that much worse.

Here's the UGA team getting off the bus yesterday. It's the culture of the program.

UGA rocks the bus

Also remember the douchebag DC they had that was directly taunting the UF kicker like some drunk redneck fan with Richt standing there with that constant sh1t eating smirk.

He is the worst kind of fake Holy roller... A petty b1tch.

Remember that little incident was on Alabama's sideline, it was the UGA players who didn't belong there.

Basically they thought Alabama was "dancing" in front of their band or some shite and came over to talk trash because they had been "dissed"
