What exactly is the UGA side of this story? All I see from the clips posted is your players running to our tunnel to shite talk and then running to midfield to keep up the taunting.

I saw two things from this "event"

A. You ARE NOT gonna intimidate Bama.

B. The way the Bama players handled it. I have never seen a team just ignore the taunting like that. The discipline shown by Bama is why they have been so good for so long.

Stupid for doing it. I've always thought there was mutual respect between the programs

Why would you assume this? The only reason these fanbases don't hate each other is because you don't play very often. Assuming any team "respects" one team over another team is foolish. They respect their own team and everyone else is an enemy.

We see this movie about every year. Is it groundhog day in Athens every fall?

I love how everyone says Richt is the classiest coach in the SEC yet he encourages his players to taunt the opposing team before the game, stomp on logos at midfield, etc.

Please, can we put this old canard to rest, finally?

The better question would be why didn't Richt try to stop it. I don't care what you think and you are obviously ignorant of UGAs history under Richt. If you weren't, you'd know that it was a total Richt move, and it backfired on him gloriously. As usual.

That is the most bush league, juvenile display of jaw jacking I've ever seen to start a game. Georgia is crazy.

And just as amazing is Alabama's restraint from retaliating, except, of course, during the game where they gave the Dogs an arse whipping.

UGAs actions don't bother me.. Bama came to Athens to take care of business. RTR!

I didn't realize this was a pattern for UGA:

Against Clemson

Belk Bowl

But I am sure those other teams also provoked UGA.

Here's the video. Bama players just run straight out. Typical Georgia.

ATL paper said a couple of Bama players were bouncing in the tunnel before coming out (which I think a lot of players on every team do.) and the UGA players saw it and came over and bowed up.

This is the kind of shite that makes me wonder about Mark Richt. Why piss alabama off more than normal? Its like when he had the whole team rush the endzone after a TD a few years ago at the WLOCP. Just not classy.

Anyway, not sure it mattered, but you dont see that much elsewhere.

Does any other team do that with such consistency?

The video says it all, and is so typical of Georgia.

It's why I truly laugh when they take a moral high ground or accept praise for their clean program. Their players thug it up more inside the stadium on Saturdays than any program in the SEC during Richt's tenure, bar none. And you never see him leaning into them for doing it.

They believed their own hype and believed that they were about to maul Bama then got completely emasculated on national TV. They're so lucky/thankful they got that fluke up the gut TD from Chubb because the game end to end is better illustrated by the 38-3 score.

What, get in almost team wide altercations and taunting, almost every season?

Sure it happens, but Uga seems to get into them quite regularly and it's almost always a large portion of the team, not just one or two players.

They did, and I drug my nuts across their skulls. They can taunt me again if they'd like. I've got time.
