I was talking to someone about this earlier.

Clemson lost two fumbles (both inside their own 40 yard line), plus a turnover on downs to give Bama the ball at almost mid field... Bama had 0 turnovers.

I think 17 of Bama's points came off of those three screw ups. Take those away, and Clemson wins big.

All around the better team.

I felt both teams particularly on D exploited the other team's deficiencies successfully. Like Saban said in the post game presser Clemson made the plays at the end of the game to win. He's 1000000% correct. Usually its Bama making the big plays when it mattered the most. This time it was Clemson making the big catches and the Alabama D coming 1 stop short from another title. I do not think either team "beat themselves" and this game will go down as one of the most entertaining ever.

yup. some people will say it's ironic that Bama's exceptional D let them down at the end of the game but I see It opposite. It was Watson's play that won the game. He made some great throws down the stretch and a great run to get them down to the 1. The kid has a bunch of grit. He got hit harder than any QB I've seen all year and kept getting back up
