The fact is that many of Petrino's classes had ridiculous attrition.

Petrino was a horrible recruiter but he was an offensive genius that could turn 3 star talent into 5 star college production. BB is a horrible recruiter with no special talent to make up for it. He will be eaten alive by the SEC West.

Did Arkansas really think they were going to beat Alabama and LSU playing their same style but with vastly inferior players?

This is the most idiotic statement I've heard the past year. You guys need some new material

boring arse offense

Alvarez dictates the kind of offense that Wisconsin coaches run. Why have you seen basically the same offense at Wisconsin under Anderson? It's not like he ran it at Utah State

who can't recruit

Yeah man. First out of state 5 star for Arkansas in the recruiting rankings era and he can't recruit worth a shite

His freshmen that are getting significant PT are for the most part heads and shoulders better than the upperclassmen around them

You should read some of your preseason prediction posts.

He will have no problem recruiting HB's who want 25 carries a game. I will grant him that.

Oh man. 6-6 was so far out there right?

If Allen is in for Rutgers we only need 2 more wins for 6-6. We've had some bad shite happen this season though. No doubt about it

Which part? The part where I said BB runs the same style of offense as Alabama and LSU? Or the part where I said he is trying to run that offense with vastly inferior players?

When did Alabama and LSU get the patent on a balanced offense with a strong PA game?

Yeah, he can't run his offense with Petrino players... that's why he's recruiting different types of players

I prefer his player evaluation posts. Should be in an nfl front office.

Yeah, Allen would have saved Arky with his superb 45% completion average. He's a gamer, that's for sure, leading an offense to 17 points in the past three games

Actually, I'd say that was a pretty accurate observation.

They don't. But very few teams will beat them battleship against battleship with lesser talent. Arkansas needs smaller, faster boats that can maneuver and trick the battleships in order to beat those fleets (to put it in a language you can understand).

So he is trying to recruit head to head against LSU and Alabama for the same types of sailors? Nice strategy. I'm sure BB's proven track record as a recruiter and the beautiful Ozark Mountains will bring in that type of crew with no problem.

The part where you implied that a team has to beat Alabama and Lsu every year to be successful.

You say he can't play that style against two teams. Well if we go 10-2 every year I would be pretty damn happy.

And Auburn with their spread got blown out by Lsu just a few weeks ago. An offensive wizard is needed to beat Alabama and Lsu according to you, even though Petrino never beat Bama and went 2-2 against Lsu.

So the "he can't out Bama Bama" line of bullshite is getting old, no one beats them on a consistent basis. Why is Bielema the only coach that suddenly has to beat Bama and Lsu every year to be successful?

LSU didn't blow Auburn out. Anyone who watched it will disagree with you.

So the goal is to be consistently decent but never win SEC titles. I understand your argument much more now. No argument here if that is the strategy.

I watched it, it was a blowout. 21-0 at half, and Lsu led 35-7 in the second half. Auburn got some garbage touchdowns against Lsu's backups to make it seem closer.

Did I say that? You don't have to go 8-0 in the Sec every year to win the West.
