No it didn't.

He resigned after six games following two blowout losses to Houston (33-0) and Baylor (24-6).

He did lose to Texas the year before (57-28) with two of the other losses being embarrassing blowouts vs Michigan (41-3) and USC (47-28) though.

Thanks for correcting my error. I really don't remember that, but looked it up after your post.

I didn't go to the Michigan game but roommate did and he about came to a tragic end. He flew in a Cessna with a few other CT's, they ran into a huge storm and ended up landing in Ohio. Made it to the game just in time to watch the thrashing.

Troy from '02-'06. They were fun to watch. The program really grew during that time period. Auburn '07 for grad school. Meh, year, but I'm from Auburn and go most games every year anyway.

This may be the first alumni only thread in TD history.

5 pages and no sidewalker has complained yet.

noon- pick up date and head to pre-game party. eat
and drink and mingle for 6 hours

6pm- pack game whisky in dates purse and head to
game. have great time at game.

11pm- head to post game party. drink some more and
try to find someone that actually remembers
the second half.

2am- after 3 more hours of revelry, head back to
apartment with about 20 friends and make
post game breakfast.

4am- head to bed with date. lock bedroom door
because damn friends are still drinking.

sunday noon- get up and discover about 10 friends
sleeping on the coach, floor, etc.
mix blood mary's are bring back to
bedroom.

later- go buy newspaper and fill in the gaps of
the parts of the game that you witnessed
but for some reason don't remember.

i graduated in 1972. girls had "hours" in their dorms so we had to lie about family visiting and check them out of the dorm so they could stay in our apartment. they had to be back at the dorm by 1am otherwise; 10pm on week-days. girls dorms were on one side of campus and boys dorms were on the other side. panty raids were big then; fun too. LSU usually vied for #1 party school in the nation. now, they don't even make top 25. young bastards are slippin'.

National championships in Football and Baseball.
Final four appearance in Basketball.

Needless to say it was a pretty good time to attend LSU.

late '60's and early '70's were ok with me. seems like we always went 9-1 (that's right we played only 10 games) but what the hell you can't have everything. LSU football was still the greatest win or lose. still is.

2009 was forgettable except for the win over Clemson. Last three years have been nice.

Glad I can say we never lost to Clemson when I was an undergrad

MSU QB John Bond was 7-0 vs. LSU in his career

How did this happen? Did he turn into a coach of some type there?

Sorry - corrected to 4-0
