Maybe if your team didn't showboat after every big play they would have stayed focused. UGA, missed FG's, dropped passes and a dropped TD pass. Mizzou lost but hey, At least y'all were "FAR better" right

Did you see Georgia target the Mizzou punt returner? One of the most dangerous targeting hits ever. Dude should be banned from football for the rest of his life. It may have even been borderline criminal

UGA had to missed chip shot field goals and touchdown drop.

Both teams made mistakes. You should have gotten us this year. Once Eason gets a ton of experience you won't belong on the same field. He underthrew about touchdowns.

Acting like Mizzou is the only team that made a ton of mistakes is comical.

Yes I saw it. I switched over and watched the last 6 mins of the game.

He violated the space, yes. But watching the replay, it does not appear to be targeting unless we're now calling that on shoulder-first hits.

Wrong hit a defenseless player like a returner in the head regardless of what you lead with and you are gone

Are you positive he hit his head? I thought so in real-time, but in the replay, I wasn't sure.

That's not the rule. You don't need helmet-to-helmet contact.

Ummm....there has to be contact to the "defenseless" player's head or neck for targeting. I said nothing about helmet-to-helmet. I don't think he (the coverage guy) actually initiated contact with the receiver's head or neck if you watch the replay.

quote:

Targeting and Initiating Contact to Head or Neck Area of a Defenseless Player  (Rule 9-1-4)

No player shall target and initiate contact to the head or neck area of a defenseless opponent with the helmet, forearm, fist, elbow or shoulder. When in question, it is a foul.  (Rule 2-27-14)
