Living in a state as bad as MS should give you a pass on drinking and driving. They could at least raise the limit a bit.

At the end of the day, it was just a bad mistake at the wrong time. I think most GMs will still evaluate him as a high character guy, but any GM that was on the fence about how his skills translate to the NFL will pass on him now. The ones that love his game will still value him as a high to mid-round pick.

Do want to say I hope whichever Oxford police department officers involved in posting that pic on Twitter get suspended or fired. For a cop to do that is pathetic.

not sure anyone who does this prior to the draft can be considered a high IQ guy. DUI kills people and those that brag about it being no big deal are just stupid. Once he gets a little money in his bank account he will more than likely do it more often. I doubt this was his first time and I doubt it will be his last time. JFF has sent all GM's into second and third and fourth guessing character guys. Many people who were involved in the JFF decision are no longer employed in Cleveland. JFF was not the reason they were fired but was more than likely one factor in many

You only make mistakes when you are trying to do something the right way.

When someone's intention from the start is to do something illegal or immoral, that's no mistake........that's a conscientious choice, something that was preventable.

Forgetting to put a comma in a sentence is a mistake, DUI is a bad choice........one that may or may not come with some consequences.

For you MSU fans harping on why the police didn't "overlook" this and get him home with a warning, would you feel the same way if were Chad Kelly that had been arrested?

Sure. I don't care. If Dak was still playing I would say Mullen should suspend him for a game.

We don't even know how much he drank or if he was above the legal limit. Although it is still possible to convict if he's below the per se amount.

It looks bad for him, but he's innocent until proven otherwise.

frick no, they wouldn't. They'd call him a thug...freeze a false prophet...elitedawgs would be celebrating in the dirt roads.

Hell they accuse of our entire team being on spice because of two brothers....one of which...has never even been caught with the stuff.

I am calling for an investigation into Mississippi State's drunk driving culture. We CANNOT allow this to carry on!

Let's face it. Unless you're a 21+ year old bible thumper, you drink and drive. All of these self-righteous rebel fans need to take a look in the mirror.

And even if this incident did affect his draft status, he'll still have a quality Mississippi State degree to fall back on(sadly Spice-bert Nkemdiche and those other Ole Miss players only have regular poverty degrees).

If Dak doesn't pan out in the NFL or get a research position at CERN, he always has a spot available at my startup in Tupelo, MS.

I had 2 siblings go to state and at least 5 friends who got engineering degrees there. I have never even once heard it called the "MIT of the south"

I don't usually make it a habit to post on this board...but really? Little Bro. I've been a State fan for 48 years and have never even thought of Ole Miss as being relevant. You've never been to a Final Four nor have you, Vandy, or Kentucky played in an SEC championship game in Atlanta. Dak's poor judgement pales in comparison to all the shenanigans at Ole Piss. To be honest, i really don't understand TSUN or State fans. The reality is this....two schools in the most lowly state in the Union...the laughing stock of the United States. Nobody outside of Mississippi gives two shits about the Egg Bowl. However, and to whom it may concern, Ole Miss has convincingly won the last 2 Egg Bowls. But State is still big brother. Ole Miss still needs to compete for a championship to catch up with State in any sport.

The fact that you make this claim makes me think you are 20 year old pill head. Anybody I know with a brain would cringe at your statement. Repeatedly and knowingly driving while you could possibly fail a breathalyzer says a lot about a person, even if you "aren't that drunk".
