My take is he switched because he wanted to play RB. I think a little pressure from dad and Saban relenting on letting him play RB got him to switch back. Also, he will never have a carry as a RB at Bama IMO. Not that it is a bad thing, because if he wants any shot at the next level, he should probably play D.

I agree with this

Yea if he didn't want AU then he wouldn't have said it. Not flaming or saying AUs better than bama crap. I think it's more to do with what he wants to major in than anything fwiw. It was also sad to see Calloway put his head down and lose the fake smile like he did yesterday. It was obvious the parents were forcing their wants. Yes like Cecil did before anyone gets all pissy. Like with cam tho, Calloway may turn out to love bama and realize he made the best choice for him. I wish him luck and hopefully his parents can feel good about what they've done. Cyrus is goin to bama IMO. I think his parents are clouding his head more than they realize. I'm in no position to judge them but it comes off that way. When you say "son, it's your choice.." but every time he says AU their saying "are you sure? Are you sure? Bamas got this, are you sure?, it's your choice, your brother plays at bama, are you sure?"

Everyone hear knows what I'm talking about. Don't get pissy cuz it's true. Cecil did it to Cam and ultimately cam said it was his decision and I'm sure he believed he did but the parents get what they want most of the time. They push the issue so much they break the kid and make them think they made the choice.

He wasn't promised a carry at the RB position at Alabama. He was told he'd be given a shot to EARN carries at the RB position at Alabama. If he gets his shot, he might make it. If he doesn't, he'll end up on D.

Magilla has been saying this to Bama fans for a long time now when some thought he was a lock.

You obviously can hear more into the personal conversations of the Kouandijo's than me, so I'll trust your prediction on CK to Bama.

I think Cyrus's parents are just trying to protect him, not exactly steer him to Bama. They see AU come in late on his recruitment, and they just want to make sure that is where he truly wants to be. We've all made quick, irrational decisions at that age. Not saying his decision was quick and irrational, just saying his parents want to make sure it wasn't a quick, irrational decision. JMO

totally agree. the fact that his parents are helping him make sure [because his dad said they didn't even know about Auburn until last week] is good. plus the fact that Cyrus hasn't just up and signed his LOI shows that HE does have interest in UA.

IMO, i don't think Cyrus was 100% sure of himself that he wanted to go to AU. i think he should have pushed his decision back and turned of his phone and facebook and announced this weekend or something.

Two biggest concerns:

1.) Will the Bama AD recall Fax Cheerleader Girl to duty?

2.) Will ESPN resend Wendi Nix to Tuscaloosa and Jen Brown to Auburn?
