aTm is going to want to be considered Big 6 even if they luck up and win one SEC title.

Interesting that OP lists A&M with 19 and claims they earned them playing against OU, CU, and Nebraska.

17 of their championships were in the SWC. So he wants to get credit in the SEC for championships against Big 8 teams that didn't even happen.

Welcome to the rant. You'll fit right in.

Spot on. LSU, BAMA, AUBURN, FLORIDA are locked in for a whole... Georgia has been fielding good teams lately. Tenn would be the one dropped IF another team wins a NC..

No way Georgia is out. Tenn would be the only team that could even be talked about recently and even then there's noone who has done enough to replace them IMO.

Serious question: other than last year, who out of the Big 6 , do you consider TAMU a better program than. Consider the last 10 years, 20 years, even 30 years. Do you really consider yourself equal to the Big 6 programs over that span? Has TAMU even been considered nationally relevant as those programs. The answer us NO, if you honest about it.

You had a great year and you had the best player last year, and it was unexpected by all. That year is over and it's time to do it again, and your history from your previous conference affiliation says you can't or most likely won't.

None of the current Big 6 are going anywhere any time soon. Bama goes without saying. No discussion there. Historically, UT is still number two behind Bama in terms of all-time wins and bowl games. Georgia is just barely behind Tennessee in both categories. LSU is just barely behind Georgia in both categories. Auburn isn't that far behind LSU. Also, some dude named "Heisman" coached there for a while. Florida is the most recent, but they've had such a sustained streak of success (30 years and counting, minus a couple blips) that they've more than earned their place.

Right now, nobody threatens to usurp any of them. TAMU is, from the SEC's perspective, barely more worthy than Arkansas right now and for the foreseeable future.

Tennessee is going nowhere. You don't get booted from the Big 6 when you're currently 2nd overall in championship and not that far removed from back to back SEC titles and a BCS title.

Unless A&M can actually win the conference, I don't see any changes to the Big 6 for some time to come.

Even if we were to "count" championships from the SWC or Big 12 I know for sure two that would be whipped out ASAP

86 & 87 aggie "champs" were steamrolled by a solid LSU program. The 56 team barely beat a 3-7 LSU team by 3 and the 67 team was whipped again by a average LSU team

So this is just a total failure on many many levels

Because the list is retarded and made up by kids that were typically picked last to play dodge ball.

I mean, not LSU/bama calibur. But they've been pretty consistent.

Probably none of them. Not claiming A&M is one of the big 6 at all, just posing a question about UF based on stats. Never attempted to claim A&M was one of the 6 yet, just didn't think UF's overall history was very impressive considering. Don't know why 90% of the replys are all bashing A&M. What have we done in the SEC so far? We've only had one season in, not a hundred years to try and beat Vandy's number of CCs.

A&M takes the phrase "wearing out your welcome" to a whole 'nother level.

Florida guys, you want me to just take this for you.
Lots of National championships in Football, track and basketball, and then there was the 90's when Bama a sucked LSU was weak, and they dominated. They were not big six before the 80's but have been very strong since then. Top flight school. etc.

Widely consider to best best overall athletic program in the SEC. and more people move to Florida every ten years than live in Mississippi or Alabama so talent rich state.
