I love it when an non Auburn person tries to set you straight. I've been a season ticket holder forever and never heard it called that. Not overreacting but why are you trying to make a big deal out of it.

But it was something that was in media guides, intro videos, mentioned on CFB Live, NCAA football video games.
I think the video games made it pretty well known to people who didn't realize it wasn't a traditional name.
I was at LSU when Auburn was pushing the name and only my Chicago friends ever called Jordan-Hare "The Jungle".

I've never heard anyone call it BDS in person. That's just the lazy mans way of typing it on the interweb.

You're obviously too young to remember the 1990s when everyone started calling it that after Carolina joined the SEC. I just Googled "the brice" as well as gamecocks and got 55,500 results. However, its seems like public opinion may be swinging back towards "The Cockpit" though, which is definitely a more original name.
Look ... I'm old enough to, well ... I'm more than old enough. Don't make me have to spank your arse.
The Reeves Brothers from Georgia started the whole Cock Pit (two words .... it's not a fricking airplane) in the early to mid sixties not long after we started playing the taterheads every other year at their place.
Marvin Bass was the HC then ... Lou Holtz may have been an assistant that year if I remember correctly.
By the time Pepsodent Paul arrived, one of my favorite people whom I called a friend .... it was already well know as The Cock Pit.
After we won the ACC Championship in '69 Coach decided he wanted Astroturf and in 70 and through 71 he started a fundraising campaign to " Carpet the Cock Pit.". I've still got my certificate for my square yard somewhere.
Your information is wrong.

A&M - "Home of the 12th Man": not bad, kind of original in that by officially adopting this name, it seems to have stopped everyone else in the country from calling their own fans their "twelfth man" (yes, back in the '80s, everyone called their own fanbases this name; now only A&M calls theirs this).
I think we should call it the Batshit Cave.
Seriously. We need to build a bat cave next to the stadium to house those Mexican Free Tailed Bats. We can use the bat signal during night games.
...and the place will get "batshit" crazy!!!

That's because the rest don't have fricking nicknames.
I know that I've never heard another Bama fan day BDS. We're just not gonna type out the full name.

LSU is no copycat-- Clemson is! TS was called Death Valley long before that ole got Frank Howard stole (federal law) a rock from a National Park.

Neither have I .... OP is full of shite.
I've heard it called the "Willy B" and the"Billy Brice" but never once heard it referred to simply as the Brice.
You ought to jump on "Starship Enterprise". I like the hell out of the light poles. Great environment, too. I never really got Sandstorm but with the whole damn stadium jumping to it it was pretty impressive. On the down side, it was flat-out dirty pool trotting out Kyle Carpenter before the game. When I saw him I honestly thought we were doomed.

A&M's stadium nickname is in honor of a man that sucked at football

Death Valley is the GOAT.
The butthurt of it being the GOAT is magnified with the Clemson posts in this thread.
