Critiquing the SEC's stadium nicknames

Bama - "BDS": weak.
Arky - "Razorbacks Stadium": lame shortening of a way-way-too-long official stadium name...I liked the old "Boar's Nest" nickname effort a few years ago that never really caught on beyond a few posters on hogville.net--I think that the nickname effort failed because the old "Dukes of Hazard" TV show is now relatively unknown to the younger generations, even though it was broadcast back during the Hogs' glory days.
AU - "The Jungle at Jordan-Hare": the Cincinnati Bengals already had this stadium nickname before Auburn took it.
UF - "The Swamp": better than most stadium nicknames, certainly makes sense given the humidity there.
UGA - "Between the Hedges": okay name, but a lot of other schools used to have hedges around their football fields back in the day as well...still a tip of the hat to the Dawgs for maintaining a tradition while everyone else just cut their hedges down.
UK - "The Lair": does anyone actually use this reference other than the school's media guide?
LSU - "Death Valley": makes sense, it gets very hot in that region, and it used to not rain on game day there for many years (although it does seem to rain there now, apparently).
Ole Miss - "The Vaught": weak.
MSU - "Home of the 'Dawgs": weak.
Mizzou - "Zou": not really all that good, but at least it's original...Mizzou - "Home of the Rock M Nation".
Carolina - "The Brice": lame...used to be known as "The Cockpit" back in the '70s when Dietzel was still there--which was also a much more original-sounding name.
UT - "Home of the Vols": weak.
A&M - "Home of the 12th Man": not bad, kind of original in that by officially adopting this name, it seems to have stopped everyone else in the country from calling their own fans their "twelfth man" (yes, back in the '80s, everyone called their own fanbases this name; now only A&M calls theirs this).
Vandy - "Home of the 'Dores": weak.

There's that pesky TRADEMARK as well.

"Razorback Stadium" isn't a lame shortening of the name. It's the original name of the stadium before the sold the naming rights in the last big expansion.

Death Valley is easily the best nickname.

Regarding tradition, this is the best nickname, hands down.

Nobody refers to our stadium as The Brice.

My fav outside LSU is UF and UGA's.

Because OP made up nicknames for most schools so that he could say death valley was best
even though Clemson was first called Death Valley in 1945, and LSU started calling theirs Death Valley after playing Clemson in 1959

Why do you spare LSU the copy-cat critique? They ripped theirs off from a 2nd-tier south eastern college.

The Swamp and Death Valley are the only 2 nicknames.
