Don't you mean "worsely"? It is an adverb modifying "to handle" after all.

Not sure worse is a good word to use here. "more poorly" seems like a better phrasing, and gives the added benefit of trolling by calling us poor as well.

Not that smart couldn't do that in Alabama.
It’s been mentioned by recruiting analyst that Smart will continue to recruit during the dead period for UGA.
Honestly, I would think this short term fix on Smart could ultimately affect Bama more so than UGA, seeing that a coach on his way out focused on recruiting instead of the X and O’s? Can you imagine if Bama gets rocked? This brilliant plan by Saban will lead to national criticism.

You mean the next Era of UGA football, right?

A coach can still recruit during the dead period... You just can't have any in-person contact. Not that smart couldn't do that in Alabama.
Not sure that you understand how this works. Go use the googles...
Helpful hint: it's not just in-person contact that is limited.

Pretty sure you can still contact recruits, just no visits.
So whats the problem here? Contacting folks isn't limited to area codes any more. There are these things called phones and internets. Its gonna blow your mind when it hits your region.

Well no shite smart arse.
Instead of focusing on recruiting he'll be game planning for daddy Saban is the point I was trying to get across.

I remember people laughing at the Mcelwain hire for UF.
Let's be honest and say the jury is still out on Mcelwain. UF was exposed when playing the SEC West but looked like world beaters against a shite SEC East.

You act like he is attempting to do the impossible. Double tasking?!

Not really. Does anyone remember them beating the dog piss out of Ole Miss? seems like that game has been erased from everyone's memory.

Not the impossible, just a bit more difficult.

Has the head coach had a press conference from Tuscaloosa to address these recent arrests?

Yes they could be handling the coach transition worse. They could have publicly tried to hire a coach, had him turn them down, then have the governor tell them they had to keep Ricth and his staff after leaking to the press he was gone. The scenario would be enhanced by fans chanting, players carrying him around (some would then say his players carried him for years). But that is just fantasy because it never really would happen.
Yeah, like that crap could ever happen !

I remember a few Tide fans wondering if it was time for Saban to go after he lost to Ole Miss this year.
You do???
You do???

I think they knocked it out of the park. A little concerned about Kirby's OC hire but I guess we will see what happens. He is going to want a 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense with the ability to have a QB that can game manage just like what he has seen at Alabama. I think Kirby will do great at Georgia. I also feel that a lot of their players are in for an eye opener with respect to training. Some will probably quit because things are about to get a lot tougher than what they have been use to.

Little brother Auburn
That's cute

Solid post. Ultimately of course we don't know if Kirby will thrive or flop by himself. My money is on the latter.

no, no, no, NO! only LSU fricks up their coaching situations. UGA did it the right way; USCe did it the right way; Miami did it the right way; blah, blah, blah.
the thing many people seem to refuse to understand is that replace a college HC in today's world is not like replacing any other employee, even a CEO. contracts are complicated and are often weighted in the coaches favor; leaks are prevalent; and the sports news media has way too many "journalists" and bloggers that are anxious to get hits and make a name. the truth is not important. news of HC changes is not news, it's sensation.
and UGA is not really handling this transition; Smart is.

They could have handled it like USCe....or LSU...or AU.
