I wouldn't bet that Brandon Allen could facilitate a 2 min drill at home, let alone on the road.

Well to be fair he could probably do it if the RB's are getting video game type yds per carry during that two minute drill. (10-20 yds per carry for one series isn't by any means easy, but it's not a near miracle either.)

Meh....compared to other SEC teams that D-Line is not as deep or talented.....and definitely less talented than last year's line.

Actually, it is.

The Razorbacks had one of the most underrated defensive lines in the country last season; they were really good. The question is whether or not they can continue to play at that level after losing their best end and tackle in Trey Flowers (15.5 TFL, 6.0 sacks) and Darius Philon (11.5 TFL, 4.5 sacks) to the NFL. However, what the Hogs lack in play-makers, they more than make up for in depth. Unlike Auburn, who will wreak havoc with a few stud athletes, the Razorbacks will play really solid defense up front with a team-wide wall of solid players. Bret Bielema's group is the only other group outside of Tuscaloosa that can legitimately go two-deep at each defensive tackle position without much drop-off.

quality depth, veteran roster. Last year our starters could compete with anyone but there was a drop off late in games when starters couldn't get a break and got tired. We won't have that problem this year. That being said there is not a game on our schedule that I don't think we can't win but there are a few that we could lose tough games to, just because this is probably top to bottom the toughest I have seen the west. I'm predicting 8 or 9 wins which from where we came from in year 3 of Bret is fine by me, anything more is gravy.

I can't do that. They have a very winnable schedule. I think their season comes down to 3 games, Tennessee, LSU, and Alabama. I think they run the table on the rest of their schedule.

There is also a real possibility that whoever the winner is from the west will come out with 2 loses.

Everyone talks about the undeserved UT hype, but the Arky hype is much more puzzling to me.

They'll go 6-6 or something close to that.

Puzzling?

4 Oline Starters return. The 5th starter on Oline played significant time last season

2 NFL backs return

7 starters from a top 10 defense

Returning QB who went 20/5 in 2014

All American candidate TE

It's only puzzling to trolls or completely ignorant people.

Conventional wisdom might say that, but we will top that now and then, so I guess it's not really a ceiling.

Agreed. The west is loaded this year. Tennessee actually being good will also play a huge factor since 2 of the main contenders have to play them. I think Auburn and State are dark horses with LSU, Alabama, and Arkansas being the leading candidates. I don't think A&M or Ole Miss have a prayer, but both will likely make a bowl game.

My issue with Auburn is a lack of experience on offense coupled with a defense that doesn't exactly inspire fear. Having to play LSU in Death Valley and Arkansas on the road will likely do them in. I also wouldn't be shocked to see them fall on the road in College Station.

My issue with Miss State is that offensive line. I think Dak keeps them in games that they should have no business competing in and getting Kentucky as one of their cross-divisional games will help. They also get LSU, Alabama, and the Egg Bowl at home. Playing on the road at Auburn and at A&M, though will determine whether or not the season ends up pretty good or completely descends into dumpster fire territory. I think Dak gets nicked up in that stretch, leading to losses in 3 of their last 4.

Our 2nd String d-line is salty. We have 6 quality D-ends and go 5 deep for the 2 interior spots. D-line is not an issue. If you're looking for a possible weak link to Arkansas' defense look at the LB depth.

We don't play in College Station. We face off in Jerry World. Neutral site historically better for the hogs.

They go to Knoxville, Oxford, Tuscaloosa, and Baton Rouge. They'll be lucky to win one of those games and I don't see a 3 loss west team winning the division

I'm worried about UT just because they're a mystery team this year as we are.

OM is not too worrying. We handled them last year pretty good. That will be a good game though. Them and LSU won't be overlooking us after the shutouts last year.

Alabama has all it all but we only lost by one point last year. It depends on who wants it most. Arkansas will give them all they got and that's what I'm looking forward to in all these games on the road.

A&M is neutral but there's something going on within that program that isn't adding up. Sure they spanked us last year but again something with that program is just making everyone question them. They have the tools and talent but I believe we have it this year.

Bama has lost 3 home games in 7 years. It's the hardest road trip in the country right now.

Two to a team lead by heisman winning quarterbacks, and one to a team with a top 10 all time defense.

Arkansas doesn't have the offensive firepower or world class defense to get the job done in Tuscaloosa.
