You implied very strongly by saying it takes "common sense" that talent or size disparities result in more injuries.

I will look for a study that proves that bigger can usually harm smaller. Shouldn't take long.

But you're losing sight of the point. And that is the morality of all of this. Sending your not-so-good players out to be bludgeoned, and potentially injured, for a price. That is the point.

These games are horrible.

I think every game should be against a P5 member except for one cupcake a year, which still should be FBS.

Completely agree. I think it's bad for the players on both sides. I think it's bad for the fans. And I think it's morally corrupt.

Big kids vs. smaller kids not fair/safe?

Maybe cornerbacks who might get hurt should be penalized for trying to tackle
Fournette.

He's big and fast. Cornerback's small. Its clearly unsafe for the CB. Time for a new rule.

Jesus tap dancing christ. Do I really have to spell it out again?

It's about "Pay for Slay". Sending kids out to get their asses beat (yes, physically too) by far superior athletes, for a price. That's it. Rick did a good job at taking me off on a tangent.

You're right, it was I who invoked the tragic injury of the Southern football player to kick this thread off. Sorry for derailing the thread by responding directly to the assertion in the OP which is now considered tangential.

How? By ensuring kids can play a game they like for 4 more years and go to school for free?

I only was giving some context as to what spawned the conversation. It went further than "that kid was hurt why are they playing UGA?"

huh? I'm not sure what you mean. Morally corrupt as in they are taking money to send their players out to knowingly get abused. I get that the financial rewards may be crucial to the school, but it just feels wrong to me.

I'd be hanging out on an SEC board too if I was a Nebraska fan.

Meh...rumors that SEC is going to ask the NCAA if they can schedule division 2 teams in non-conference play since their schedules are too tough.

I'll just leave this here.
