What's confusing? A conservative reporter sent out a weird tweet about potentially opening a can of worms over a visor. Well we all know a visor is a non-story by itself so the question is wtf is going on and how the hell could a visor be a story or controversy.
IOW, why is Hyams exploring this? On the surface, there's no story to a visor being given to a kid so what makes this of interest to the reporter that we don't know and why would he worry about a can of worms?

If it's for a DNA test Lane's brother is an assistant at OM I'm sure he would provide the necessary samples.

As I said in the OP, I have no idea what it's about and your guess is as good as mine. I don't see how there's any can of worms to even open or worry with.
The DNA theory is simple speculation by others.

That would make some sense but the can of worms thing makes it utterly bizarre. I can't see a controversy/can of worms there.
Maybe Hyams was having a micro-stroke when he sent that out? Who knows.
