That theory doesn't quite make sense either if you know Hyams. Why would Hyams write a story about a visor he thought would rustle fans (he's the opposite of a rustler) when he's never been known to do anything like that, quite the opposite? Too much time has passed since the game for it to even be a human interest story. Now if it were John Adams who lives to stir-shite and intentionally rustle for clicks it would make sense but again Hyams is the complete opposite (dull even).

Maybe the story is about security trying to take it back or being overly aggressive? I still can't see that being a can of worms.

The Montgomery article quotes the dad saying that she is 7 years old. Kiffin didn't become the coach until the end of 2008. The dates don't match up if that is what you or JH are insinuating.

Paternity testing? You don't need an article of his clothing. Have a judge order a paternity test for frick's sake.

Neither of us are insinuating anything. Again that was speculation - not my own or his but rather simple speculation going around in response to the tweet. Had I known folks would think that was my theory instead of understanding that when I said that I didn't know what was going and 'your guess is as good as mine' that I was simply presenting the tweet and the current speculation by others I'd never have included said speculation.

I included it solely because that is the speculation that occurred in response to the tweet. IOW, I reported the speculation.

Given what I know of Hyams and how unlike him this is, I'm genuinely curious as to what the tweet is about.

Um no. I presented a tweet that I find weird and stated as much in the very first line of the post "and now for some weirdness."

It is weird that he is asking for the visor at this point. Maybe Hyams wants Lane's lucky visor?

The thing is, anyone with two brain cells to rub together knows that, if he's interested from a DNA standpoint, the visor is useless, because it can't be proven that Kiffin is the only one to wear the visor. If there's a legitimate reason for someone to get Kiffin's DNA, you go get a court order.

I really don't know how a visor could possibly be a potential can of worms but there is some speculation about it out there involving his fondness for coeds in his time here and what that visor might provide or verify.

Who the hell isn't fond of coeds???

Given how strange that tweet is who knows. Maybe that's the can of worms.

And knowing how slow Jimmy is to break a story, don't expect a conclusion to the soap opera until the spring.

For all we know, he's talking about a different TSIO.
