I'm going to stick with my central point. It's sickening to hear UT feel all warm and fuzzy about how "reasonable" thier loss was to Florida today.

This is a team that is depleted offensively except for some big time playmakers in the backfield.
All we heard all year was how badly Florida was going to destroy us. We heard about Tebow telling Urban to make sure to save some timeouts for the end of the game to embarrass us. We heard rumors of Urban looking up the biggest loss in Tennessee history so he could exceed it. We listened to commentators and basically everyone outside of Knoxville say we were going to get demolished and how much they looked forward to it.
And Florida couldn't. They flat out could NOT blow us out. I've never heard so many people making excuses after a WIN as I hear from Florida. I've never heard of players hanging their heads in the locker room after beating a rival by 10 points.

I am not happy that TN lost, but I am also not as upset as I was when we lost to UCLA. Strange, but I see quite a few of the "Oooh, Ahhhh, FL will win by 70 and it will give Kifin what he deserves," folks now bitching about TN fans being relieved that we didn't get 70 hung on us, and had a chance to close it to three late in the 4th. Spin it and rationalize it however you like, but you can't have it both ways.

I asked this yesterday but I think the thread was whacked, Do any of you think that it is all down hill for TN after the fla game having invested so much into that game much like Bama after LSu in 07 and Lsu after Bama in 08?

I hope we can build from this, not dwindle from it. If this is the pinnacle of the season, I'm ready for basketball and listening to the Recruitards talk about next year... I figured we'd be turrible this year, but now I think we might just beat a team or two that we shouldn't before the season ends.
