Duke and Georgia Tech would be my top choices. We have enough football value to sustain the conference as it is. Academic and basketball history would be a nice addition.

GT was in the conference before and chose to leave.

And? They'll add value once again. Plus that was 50 years ago.

Move Mizzou to west.
Move AU & Bama to east.
Would love this.
It would actually solve a lot of problems with regards to Alabama's rivalries. We'd be in the same division with Tennessee, so nothing lost there.

I would hate that. I want to play Bama and Auburn every year. Much more so than UF.

They also tried to come back and UGA f'ed them up, from what I understand.
I don't give a crap about the conference's footprint, the schools make enough god damn money at this point.
I value geography and tradition more at this point.
It's not like the SEC is scrapping to get by and desperately needs the money.
I'm against expansion, heck I was against going from 12 to 14.
If you did have expansion though I'd want teams that were geographically in the South and also had ties to the existing schools.
So like FSU, Clemson, Louisville, that sort of thing.
The SEC means something, if you start adding in random schools from across the country for no reason at that point the brand means nothing.

I would love to add UNC and UVA or Va Tech and move Mizzou to the West

I know your just trying to troll, but Auburn and Bama are closer to a rivalry than y'all. And I do like playing UF every year, just don't as much as playing the AL schools.
I have said on here numerous times, I would prefer a 10 game conference schedule, so we could still play y'all every year, while still playing the rest of the East fairly often. We can even do a 6-2-2 format so we can bring back the Auburn-UF game every year.if we did that though, I rather get USC instead of UK as the Other cross "rival"

No ACC teams will leave till 2027, so you might want to rethink that hoss.

I at UNC/Duke/UVA
I at UNC/Duke/UVA

I like VT, to be fair, this is a lot more badass than "sandstorm"

SEC won't add a team that's already in the geographical footprint of another. This was agreed upon when TAMU and Mizzou were added. Oklahoma is a no go because they won't leave without okie lite, if they do they lose out on that T Boone money river.
That being said I'm guessing UVA/UNC are the most likely although I'm not a big fan of either school.

Originally I thought 14 was a terrible number but my feelings have changed. If the SEC were to adopt the roommmate switch model they could rotate through the entire conference within 4 years (home and away everyone plays everyone) while balancing the schedules.
Given that possibility I'm not sure the SEC needs to or should want to expand further

The only realignment that's possible for the next 10-15 years will depend upon the NCAA's "seismic" change coming up in the next 6 months. If they establish a new division for the big schools, then a logical move to 5 conferences with 16 teams each could evolve.
That would be 80 teams. There are currently 65 teams locked into the present Big 5 conferences. The main question would be, "Who are the other 15 schools needed to make up the 80 'Major Division' teams? I nominate:
Notre Dame
UCONN
Cincinnati
BYU
Boise State
USF
UCF
San Diego State
Fresno State
East Carolina
Temple
Colorado State
Houston
Rice
Memphis

most of those are financial garbage and wouldn't make sense for anyone to add
With pillaging the Big 12 off the table I don't see real options for the PAC to expand beyond 12 teams. And there's no real reason every conference has to have the same number of teams I can see. For that matter there's no reason I can see that an independent like Notre Dame absolutely has to belong to a conference either. Whatever the playoff format there will undoubtedly be at large qualifiers as well as conference champs qualifying.
