According to an unspecified "football" person on the committee, in their second meeting she asked him why, on some plays, a team drops back 8 players & only rushes 3. She's on the committee because she is a double minority...well...a triple if you count her love for bama ( she is a self professed bama fan). I'd be willing to bet most female sideline reporters know more football than she does, as they have to actually study & prep for each game.

How many women have you met truly understand football? For me, I have met 1 in my entire existence that truly knows what holding is, realizes you blitz on obvious passing situations, DEs need to set the edge, not just pass rush etc etc. However, over 50% of men I have met have this understanding. So can we bury our heads in the sand in fear to sound sexist? Sure, we can. But I wont. And she may be the second woman i ever met that truly understands football if I meet her one day. But until then I will play the percentages.

No, it's not. Hell, there have been successful coaches who have never played the game. Just because you have played the game doesn't mean you are knowledgeable about it either.

Many of your points are irrelevant. You don't need necessarily to know what a DE's responsibility is on a given play to know a dominant performance when you see one, or that Baylor's OOC schedule was shite.
And as far as women are concerned, I could name some who know a helluva lot about football. Linda Cohn, for example, has probably forgotten more football than 75% of the posters on this board know.
