Except it's not. Every game counts. Don't lose 2 games.

Every game counts except the conference championship game. That was a meaningless game this year.

Clemson would have murdered Penn State as well if they had played them. Bama and Clemson are on another level from the rest of the teams in college football.

You might not be wrong, but who about to play Clemson wouldn't say that?

Clemson looked like dogshit multiple times this year, Alabama only had one really close game against ole miss early in the season

Clemson beat Troy by 6, lost to Pitt, and was lucky to get to OT against NC state

head to head vs penn st loss- discarded

If you "honor" the head to head, then you have to ignore the fact that PENN STATE LOST MORE GAMES.

It's not that complicated.
no you don't, you could exclude both

Wash Clemson Bama and either OU or WMU. You MUST win your conference in my opinion

That is why we dont need 4 teams

Travesty letting ohio state in because of the eye test...head to head vs penn st loss- discarded, division championship in toughest division this year..who cares, conference champs...fu
This is what happens when all knowing experts think they know more than the on the field results

Early on. And improved , beat OSU won the division and the conference and maybe ha 1 more loss than OSU , but also had as many wins. And wins should count more than losses

That game counted. So did Ohio state's win vs Oklahoma and Pitt's win over penn st.

Isn't this how bama got a rematch in 2011?

Ohio St is not worthy of favor?

Looks like they were right about Penn State. Good job committee.

Rose Bowl was a match up teams that beat playoff teams.

A matchup of teams that lost a game by 39 points versus a team that lost a game by 46 points.

If not for the vaunted "eye test," Alabama never would have been in the 2011 championship game after failing to even win their own division. So, thank your lucky stars you backed in and had a shot at a rematch.
