I believe Deion would've made a better coach than Freeze...at least his record is clean (I think).

I'm thinking Deion is too smart to take that job.

Eh... I'm not sure Deion is a great coach. Solid recruiter at a lower level but that doesn't necessarily translate. I haven't seen much proof he's got much in the way of X's and O's.

I don't think Freeze is a great choice, but I don't think Deion is a better alternative.

He wouldn't have.

He's done a heck'uva lot better job with what he had than any coaches at Auburn have had recently.

As would Rhule.

As would Fickell.

And probably a few others.

Sorry, but it's Auburn that's not ready for Prime Time.

Fickell maybe but Rhule is problematic (apparently assistant coaches hate him)…

I don't think he's a better coach than Tubberville or Mahlzahn to be frank.

There aren't a whole lot of guys who were successful at lower levels of football and came up to the top level and also had success. Jim Tressell is the only one I can think of to be honest... there are a lot more who were great at the FCS level and were average at best at the FBS level (Jim Donnan is a great example)

He's almost illiterate.

I don't know why people keep acting like he's a prize.

I would have like Deion as well. But he was probably a bigger risk

Deion was probably waiting on Norvell to crash and burn but FSU appears to be back although the ACC is terrible

If Cristobal doesn't last at the U, Deion would do some serious damage in Miami

Surprised GA Tech didn't show him any interest with his ties to Atlanta area

Colorado just seems like a bad fit, Oklahoma or Okla St might be a good fit for him as well

I never wanted Deion (and for the record, didn’t want Freeze).

Deion is a totally unknown commodity. Maybe he’ll be great or maybe he benefited from a talent gap.

All I know is IF Auburn hired him and he fizzled, and we booted him, it would be a much bigger fiasco than the Harsin (and other firings). I don’t see Deion quietly taking his buyout and that being the end of it…

Deion Sanders would be crazy to turn down that job. Colorado is a great place and he can really build something there without a lot of high expectations.

Word is he will take the USF job. Doesn't want a P5 job right now.

Deion would be better served to take the USF job. He would be home, in his comfort zone for recruiting. He could run the AAC for 2 or 3 years and jump to an SEC job or FSU.
