Can someone please explain to me why they can't meet in the middle on fouls? May be Germans, I understand why they shifted but they went to far in the other direction IMO. It is really getting hard to watch the games when teams are in the bonus 60% of the game and a foul is called every other trip down the floor. They are killing the sport IMO. There is absolutely no rhythm.

Yeah it's bad basketball
The last five minutes of the halfs are unwatchable unless it's recorded for me
The fouls and coaches calling timeout on every possession is ridiculous.

19 fouls were called in the last two minutes of the AU-MSU game last night. Officials also huddled at the scorer's table 7-8 times. I think it took about 35-40 minutes real time.

Obviously you didn't watch UGA/UF last night or else you'd be apologizing to the paint for making such a comparison.

Yep. With 1:01 left of the game came out of time out at 10:06. The game finally ended at 10:28. It was unbelievable.

Yep, I mentioned to my dad at the game how well it was flowing at some point in the second half. That changed quick.

The refs just completely changed how they called fouls. I thought they were doing a good job. Then just decided if a player with the ball was touched at all, it was a foul.

It seems to be more of a SEC issue.
I feel like it isn't as bad when I'm watching other P5 conferences.

The refs just lost it towards the end of the game. They could have swallowed their whistle on most of those calls.

Yep, it was horrible on both ends. The last 2:25 of the game took 32 minutes in real time. That needs to be fixed.
I also saw a stat last night on twitter about the SEC having more fouls called than any other conference.

FTA/FGA (conference games only)
Pac-12: 0.31
B1G: 0.32
ACC: 0.33
Big 12: 0.34
Big East 0.35
SEC: 0.42
I saw this on John Gasaway's twitter and it is from Jan. 19 but I would bet it still holds true. I know it's not per game fouls but it's still pretty telling.
