Scoring wont increase due to shot clock, I think it will decrease.
Scoring was up 0.6 points per 100 possessions and there were two more possessions per 40 minutes using adjusted tempo in the NIT.

I would like to see it at 24 but I can see why coaches at the mid-major level absolutely hate it.
The more possessions the better for the more talented team.
Most of these lower level schools don't have guys who can go get you a bucket in short shot clock situations.

The ladies have used the shorter shot clock for awhile and it does make a difference in scoring once everyone adjusts.
As far as the other rules, I actually wish they would've gone a little further with the timeout rule and actually eliminate some timeouts.

Anticipated the shot clock being brought down to 30, but not the timeouts

5 fouls is enough.. if they are trying to promote cleaner basketball then why would you look at the possibility of increasing the number of fouls before fouling out? It's the complete opposite of what they're trying to accomplish in all of the other rules.
All of this.
Can you imagine a Louisville game where their players all have 6 fouls to spend? God bless.

That's so negligible it's not even worth citing.

Until they stop allowing the offensive post player to elbow/hook the defender in the ribs they have not done enough.

I agree on the timeouts. I would like to see them remove at least one, if not 2 of the TV timeouts each half. That said, I'm not complaining as I like the new rule changes. Things will get a bit worse for many teams on offense before it gets better. There are still a ton of really poor shooters in college basketball. Now those poor shooters are:
A. Going to have the opportunity to miss more shots per game; or
B. Attack the rim more leading to more fouls
Eventually though players/coaches will adjust and we will get a more free flowing game without long drawn out possessions.

I can live without the dreaded crawl ball style of basketball I admit. Not sure about the 6 fouls proposal they are going to try out.

I really wish they got rid of the hand check whatever rule that caused so many timeouts to be called.
Felt like 75% of games were in the double bonus before midway Mark in each half. It is bullshite and ruins the game

If they changed the rules so a small breeze doesn't result in a foul , this would be just "attack the rim"

Wish they had changed the 10 second rule to 8 second...but I like the changes.

Love almost all the changes.
Basketball has way too many timeouts, the fact that a team can save like 4 timeouts for the last 2 minutes and both teams can call a timeout after every dead ball makes the last 2 minutes of a basketball game take 30 minutes.
I mean some are just common sense. Why should calling a timeout give you more time on the shot clock?
