I think it has much more to do with preseason poll bias. They're only willing to let A&M jump so many undefeated teams. I wish they'd avoid doing polls until at least week 3.

Looks ok, but LSU and UCLA ahead of A&M after last week is pretty ridiculous.

Don't really have any respect for the coaches poll.

They have their preconceived notions, do not react well to new information, and do not even watch the games.

It is a really ignorant and antiquated poll that should even be viewed as legitimate IMO.

based on game#1, Ohio State and UCLA are way over ranked in that poll.

Both looked like crap.

A&M being ranked lower than LSU is a joke

Georgia has no business being as low as 8th

Uh, we will all basically play each other.

Why? Are you buying into the fact that USCe's defense was supposed to somehow be better than last year even with the fact that they lost every starting defensive lineman and linebacker? Or are you buying into the fact that some dude named Hank Hill...sorry Kenny my bad...is the next coming of Jesus Manziel?

Either way let's just wait a minute and see right?

If A&M plays every game like Thursday they will beat everyone on their schedule except maybe LSU.

Both major polls are nothing more than just conversation starters anymore.

UCLA sure. LSU beat a top 15 team in a neutral site. There are a lot more schools that A&M deserves to jump before LSU.

In the AP, Wisconsin will be lower and A&M will be higher. So

They probably SHOULD be higher, but they started them out so low. Probably just could jump them too high too quick. They'll get there, though.

I love what A&M did, but SC was a bit over-hyped coming into the season. They lost as much as anyone from last year. I predict A&M will come down to earth a bit and SC to improve as the season progresses. Both will be solid units by years end.

My guess is Alabama being so much higher han Auburn. He has a legitimate point, IMO. Auburn looked better.

Overhyped or not, A&M gave a top ten team a beatdown of biblical proportions in their own house

ETA: Also, looking at it objectively, we don't really have enough of a sample size to make determinations one way or another in terms of who is "overhyped" right now.
