Auburn will lose 5 games minimum this season. They will not be in the mix late in the season. It was an early season game where your inexperienced QB had to pass his first test against a decent defense. He plays them week 8 Clemson wins by 21 at least.

I think Auburn's hyper-impatient fan base will be as much of a cause to Auburn dropping some close games as coaching and talent on the field. A place that can fire a HC only 2 years after winning the National Title is mental.

Gus is already on the hot seat and that stigma is in his head, the staff and the players....

I would typically agree, but 2012 was historically bad for Auburn. I don't think one player on that team respected Chizik and they all seemed to refuse to play hard especially the last 4-5 games of that season. They had no choice but to fire him. He wins only 6 games that season he would have been retained. 2 wins with that team and the admin had no choice but to fire him.

I think the Administration is weak for not supporting him and the fan base was weak for the same reason. The only thing Chizik was probably guilty of was not cleaning house when his players stopped playing for him. He could have dismissed those bad apples and addressed the fan base to tell them that certain players think they are bigger than the program and can find another team to play for....They wouldn't have liked it, but if a National Champion Coach can't have that kind of clout at Auburn after a year or 2 then that whole program has much deeper issues...Sounds like way too many cooks in the kictchen

Our only double digit losses in the last 13 years are - 28-18 @ Auburn (2005) - 28-13 @ Florida (2006) - 28-14 @ LSU (2006) - 31-17 vs Utah (2008) - 35-21 @ South Carolina (2010) - 45-31 vs Oklahoma (2013)

The stopped playing for him because he didnt trust them anymore. For example he hired security to do bed checks even for players living in private apartments, among other things.

Chiz felt he didnt get enough credit for 2010 and got a bit crazy behinds the scenes.

Honestly our defense is not ready. Offense has really started to gel and Jalen has improved by the defense has definitely taken a step back

That's not fair.

Clemson's defense is not weak at all man.

God no. All 4 of their starting DL will be 1st round NFL draft picks.

Bamas defense is super weak by Saban standards though. Middle of the pack SEC

At least we won't have to worry about Auburn doing anything like that. They may not even cross the 50 on that weak defense.

Clemson would obviously win, but I doubt we'd destroy them. Probably a comfortable 10 point win.

If germans, sorry but Danny Sheridan on Finebaum today said that Vegas would have bama a "close 2 point favorite".

Right now in September...I would give the edge to Clemson. I don't think we would see the amount of points these two teams had in their last two meetings. I could see it being a low scoring game similar to the Clemson/Auburn game although I think Bama would put more points on the board than what Auburn did.

Well Alabama has beat a top 10 team this year and Clemson has not. It would probably be another classic.

Guess everyone forgot Bama beat a top 3 team already

Only because FSU's QB got hurt.
