Yea, they really should. Here is the link. My guess is, like Alabama, they sent most of the information to season ticket holders. Like I said above, some folks who don't have season tickets are going to show up and have a rude awakening.

Apparently the mailer to season ticket holders doesn't go our til mid-August so they've waited until the last minute to bother telling anyone at all. Hopefully, the local news channels will blanket coverage it or Neyland will be a mess. You can't have that many people who have to park that far away and tell them to walk back to their cars to put a bag up.

If you're afraid of some attack, then pay for security that will actually do their damn job.

They should give away a bag for every season ticket, IMO.

LSU has been doing a media blitz about it.
My guess is out of state fans won't know but there will be plenty of lsu fans that won't realize it until gameday.

Yeah, hopefully there will be some leniency on this, especially when it comes to things like women's purses and diaper bags (which UT's site says is not a medical device and thus diapers have to be carried in one of these clear bags *cringe*).

I have to admit reading both Bama and UT telling me how they've thoroughly researched this and improved their policies for my safety/fan experience is hilarious. It's like they don't know we can google and talk to other fans and see that no, you didn't do this to make my personal experience at Neyland (insert your own stadium) better. You did it for some other idiotic and/or greedy reason and you did it in cahoots with the entire conference.

That's the first I've heard about Tennessee or Florida doing this. They might want to do a better job telling us if they indeed plan on doing it this year.

UF advertised this at the Spring game.

I do think some sort of bag should be allowed. For instance, my dad has diabetes and has to take insulin in. If you can't take a bag, what exactly is he supposed to do? There are enough variations of things people just have to have with them that some sort of bag should be allowed, but I'm all for it being clear and transparent. It's the day and age we live in.

I'm not sure about y'alls but in our announcement about the clear bag policy, it made specific references to bags that were for medical purposes being an exclusion.

There will be no leniency. You'll have to get rid of the out of compliance bag at the gate or bring it back to your car/tailgate.

No doubt there is going to be a mound of purses at every gate for the first game.

Really happy that Ole Miss isn't implementing this yet, though it's not like I take bags into games as it is

Was posted on the Vol_Football Twitter page on August 3rd, I remember seeing this from multiple Vol Social media handles around that time. Instagram, Twitter, etc.

Interesting. I'll be honest, I didn't read the fine print. The only bags we take in are my wife's purse, but she has small enough ones that fit NFL rules (had to for SECCG, CFP games last year), that we were good either way.

My dad used to bring in one of those drawstring bags, so the new bag is basically the same size.

The Saints did a massive media blitz when they adopted this policy a few years ago and there will still be a ton of people at the home opener bitchng about having to go back to their car.

I think LSU did mention they would allow bags for medical purposes and baby formula. Everything else would be clear.
