Freeze was only good because he paid blue chip athletes to come to Ole Miss. When the cash flow dries up, so will the recruits, and so will your 8 and 9-win seasons.
2012 he had less scholarship players than any other team in the SEC and a team that only won 5 games the previous 2 years. He took that team to a 7-6 record and a bowl game. He can coach just fine

Clay Travis is a tool. He raises good points, but is still a tool.

And you sir represent Ole Miss well. First you claim nobody cheated and now you actually like cheating to win at any cost?

His seven wins in 2012 were over:

Central Arkansas (an FCS school)
UTEP (3-9)
Tulane (2-10)
Auburn (3-9)
Arkansas (4-8)
Mississippi State (8-5)
Pittsburgh (6-7)

He didn't beat a single team that finished ranked in the Top 25 that year. He beat one team that finished with a winning record and that was a rivalry game.

Don't know how he still has a job right now anyway.

Bama has had players suspended for taking money from Ole Mi$$.

Hugh Freeze (Southeastern Conference) (2012–present)
2012 Ole Miss 7–6 3–5 5th (West) W BBVA Compass
2013 Ole Miss 8–5 3–5 T–5th (West) W Music City
2014 Ole Miss 9–4 5–3 3rd (West) L Peach† 19 17
2015 Ole Miss 10–3 6–2 2nd (West) W Sugar† 9 10
2016 Ole Miss 5–7 2–6 7th (West)
Freeze: 39–25 19–21

So an average of 7.8 wins and 5 losses.... Really worth it right? You are getting what you deserve.

Personally, I don't care. I hope the school keeps him even if the NCAA hands down a 3 year bowl ban and more scholarship losses. Name one person we will get that's better
That's the point. We are all colluding to make sure you suck and he never coaches again

If you cheat shouldn't conference titles be a minimum goal?

If we sacrificed Freeze, we might have been able to get away with a 1 year bowl ban. If that was the case, I would think there would be plenty of young offensive coordinators willing to come coach Shea Patterson and this offense. If you get rid of Freeze and throw 3 or 4 million at Tee Martin, Sonny Cumbie of TCU or Penn State's offensive coordinator, I think one of them would take it. First off the money, and they also inherit an offense with a lot of talent and expectations are tempered a bit because of how hectic everything has been with the program. If you get Ole Miss through all the NCAA stuff and have 1 good season with a few respectable seasons, you are going to be mentioned for any other job that comes up should you want to leave. If not, Ole Miss has shown they will pay for a coach that has success. As bad as all this NCAA mess is, Ole Miss does have talent to work with and that will be attractive to someone.

State managed to get to an Orange Bowl without cheating. Shouldn't Ole Miss be able to accomplish more than them? Aren't y'all a better program?

Guess not.
