I'm sure there is an explanation for this, but I don't quite understand what I'm looking at... was it based on the week played? I find it hard to believe that Miss St's Rush defense would have been seen as worse after skull fricking Troy's domesticated house cats.

He wasnt badly injured. He is battling a high ankle sprain, which wont get worse but makes good backs look very pedestrian.

High ankle sprain is a very bad and painful injury. It also takes a long time to recover from. I'm surprised he has been as effective as he has been if he has been playing with a high ankle sprain.

And he did miss the entire Troy game, and our other backs besides Williams showed they cant be trusted

I didn't realize he didn't play against Troy. Wow. Seriously.....you guys could still have an excellent year.

count his TDs all you want. LSU is already counting a win and UGA will be in a few weeks

Guice had a whopping 71 yards on 20 carries against AU for 3.6 average, no runs over 15 yards and scored 0 TD's. He also only had 1 reception for 5 yards. He was really no factor at all in the game.

but I thin this thread would be incomplete without congratulating Mr Guice on having a strong enough day to possible warrant cracking into the UGA backfield

Guice has 3 games in his career of greater than 250 yards
Chubb has none

Guice will probably get another 250 yard game later this year against Tennessee, that will make 4

Not saying that Chubb is not a great back, but he ain't all that.

Maybe Guice wouldn't be hurt all the time if coach yaw cared enough about him to stop playing him during garbage time to get garbage yards.

I mean, it may pad the stat sheet, but it seems Guice always has an owie of some kind and, regardless, he ain't catching Chubb, so ...?

Please actually look at stats before making stupid statements.

That's great and all, but that just means he disappears in a lot of games, doesn't it?

Why do some LSU fans keep saying this is true?

leaving out any stats that make Guice look better

I'll help you:

Games played:
Guice - 7
Chubb - 7

Yards per game:
Guice - 101.6
Chubb - 98.3

Career yards per carry:
Guice - 7.1
Chubb - 6.4

Top 5 career games:
Guice -
285 yards - Texas A&M 2016 (37 carries)
276 yards - Ole Miss 2017 (22 carries)
252 yards - Arkansas 2016 (21 carries)
163 yards - Missouri 2016 (17 carries)
162 yards - Southern Miss 2016 (16 carries)

all of Guice's top games have come in the last 2 years. He averaged over 9 ypc in 4 of them

Chubb -
266 yards - Louisville 2014 (33 carries)
222 yards - North Carolina 2016 (32 carries)
202 yards - Arkansas 2014 (30 carries)
189 yards - Vanderbilt 2015 (19 carries)
170 yards - Kentucky 2014 (13 carries)

One of Chubb's top games has come in the last 2 years. He averaged above 9 ypc in 2 of them.

UGA fans want to blame Chub's season last year on his 2015 injury but don't seem to want to apply the same logic to Guice's first half of this season. Wonder why.

no, it means he was 2nd string to one of the best running backs in the NFL last year and the year prior. What's Chubb's excuse?

Not really. He has been slowed this year by a high ankle sprain and had to sit out parts of a few games and at least one whole game. Last year, when he was a part time starter, he torched the SEC for over 1400 yards. When he did not start Fournette was rushing for 880 yards is limited action due to injury

Chubb is a very good back....but he ain't Saquon Barkley, that's for sure , of course, this year, no one is.

Guice didn't scare me at all going into the game against AU and as I stated before he didn't do much of shite in the game.

UGA's RB's, however, scare the shite out of me even with as good as AU's rush defense is. Chubb is a monster and I am gladd he has been able to stay healthy this season, but it is not just him that gives DC's nightmares

UGA has the best stable in the conference and they each have a uniqueness about them that makes them special.

My top 4:

UGA
Bama
AU
LSU

Chubb came back from an acl tear. How did that AP guy do after that?

I wish it was just an ACL tear. Was a dislocated knee with 3 different ligament tears.

Ummmm....gee....if only Chubb had played behind somebody that was good. Like a Todd Gurley or somebody.

You guys are saying that Williams and Brosette are not very good, yet ignore that Chubb has Michel, Swift, Herrien and Holyfield in the backfield with him. I wonder why?

ETA
And by the way....you know Gurley is ahead of Fournette in rushing, right?
