This would be huge for our recruiting

Why do you think this would all of a suddenly mean a recruiting windfall?

It doesn't, and AU or Bama moving to the East just makes it tougher on those teams.

Yea, the recruiting thing made sense in 1992 with limited TV and the conference being much more local/regional.

I don't see how it matters at all in 2017.

But it doesn't balance the divisions. It puts 4 Big 6 members in the East.

Alabama won't always be at the top and Georgia and Tennessee won't always be down.

I don't care one way or another, but I can't see why it wouldn't be done.

Has anyone asked Mizzou if they want to move to the West to face Bama/LSU every damn year? Hell, they did perfectly fine in the East and made it to ATL 2 yrs in a row.

Here is the thing though.

Bama and LSU could just as easily take a downturn as Georgia/Tennessee/Florida

Right now, the West is better sure. Wont always be that way though.

Whoops.

The SEC needs schedules that will fill up their large stadiums. Attendance was slightly lower for the Big Programs last year.

They're the FNG's. Who cares if anyone's asked for their opinions?

Move au to the east, Bama keep the VOLS, and put AU on rotation.
That would help au with their w-l record.

Tennessee, UF and UGA will continue to keep blocking AU's move to the east. Going to happen again

So would Bama go with Tenn or Aub as their permanent?

make more sense to have UT the permanent since they would see AU in the SEC Championship every season.

Whichever setup they go with is better than the current one. I like new road trips and I believe there is about an 8 year gap between our visits to non permanent division campuses. Too long and I love Athens too much.

All the smoke is from old arse Pat Dye and stupid arse Malzahn. This is the definition of fake news.

How does it benefit S. Carolina, Vandy and UK to have a stronger East?

We'll get a good/great game with Auburn ever year. Sure to be a home sellout.

It's a pretty easy road trip too from Columbia too. Can make it in 4-5 hours. Get up, scoot there, watch the game, come back. Won't spend a whole day driving. (We just aren't a fan base that can afford to fly everywhere on a whim)

And I dislike Auburn. I'm positive I could come to hate them.

It's perfect if you ask me.

And as to how it hurts? Why everyone and his brother tells me we'll never win the SEC.

That there are only some "Big 6 schools." (Funny how some of them don't win as much as the others, but whatever.)

So what's different? I'm not scared of Auburn. Drinking Barn tears would thrill me. We do have the most god awful record against them since 1930 or 40 though.

It'll make that first victory in a long time against them that much sweeter. Making Malzahn's glasses steam in frustration - priceless.

And if we lose? So what?

You know I'm getting kind of tired about this metagaming about winning the national championship. Personally I'd be happy to have Auburn on the schedule.

What'd I'd really love though, is for Georgia's permanent opponent to be A&M. Let you clowns go to College Station every other year.

I notice Vandy has no issue with Auburn moving to the east. What's their record against Auburn again?

Just really needs to be a 9 game slate. I was against it at first, but it really is a better system.

Play 6 division, 1 perm, 2 rotating.

Every player would play every team, and you will have cycled through all schools in 6 yrs.
