A few Florida guys did, but their a tad smarter than most SEC fans, sadly
James Franklin coached Vandy to consecutive 9 win seasons. No one here is ever, ever going to think of some Missouri QB first over that accomplishment. Now kindly go jump in a house fire.

People remember Leak and not Franklin for a couple of reasons:
Leak wins National Championship as starter
Franklin does not
Leak starts for 4 sesasons in one conference
Franklin does not
Leak throws for nearly 2x as many yards in the same amount of time.
Franklin only faced 1/2 of the SEC East teams one time...Leak played every SEC East team 4 times....so, naturally, people on here remember him.
You probably don't remember Leak, because you were in the Big-12 when he was tearing up the SEC.

This is more a rant on how the national media perceives these quarterbacks, not how hardcore fans of CFB see it

Both were afraid to take a hit. Particularly Leak. I remember many a time on third down, the pocket would collapse and he'd have to run to move the chains, only to take a dive two yards short and no defenders within five yards.
