It really isn't it inline with that for the skip years. The SEC "tourney" was actually a 24 game series played throughout the year.... other years it was just 4 teams... Once they went to the current format Skip tanked the SEC tourney. We backed into won in 2000 pitching junk

I don't expect to win the SEC. I think UF will. I guess State or OM still has a shot too. A&M just moved into first tonight and that is the reason for the thread. Well that and to stir the pot. Mission accomplished, obviously.

It goes without saying (I thought) Winning in the postseason (making Omaha) > Regular season Title > Tourney Title.

My order would be this:

Winning Omaha>SEC regular title>just making Omaha>SEC tourney title

OK great, there is still CPM and he has a good history minus 2010 and 2014.

2010 was a pretty bad year though and i'd like to forget the Houston loss in 2014.

I think UF or A&M wins it.

CPM tries his arse off to win the SEC tourney yes. I think it is irrelevant to postseason success still

Did i imply they will fall apart? I'm simply taking his bait, but reminding him that pounding your chest in the SEC during the first part of May really doesn't mean anything come the end of June. Kinda like pounding your chest at the end of September in the SEC.

I think making it to Omaha period is > SEC Title/SEC Tourney.

Best of the best > than our conference. (even though we have a damn good conference)

I just don't care anymore about making Omaha without a title. It gives you nothing. At least am SEC title is something

Guess it depends on how it happens for me. If we win the SEC title and make Omaha, success. If we win the title and miss out on Omaha, it would feel like a disappointing year to me.

On the flip side, SC won the SEC tourney 0 times while winning the CWS title twice in a row and playing for a 3rd in a row.

^^^THIS. I haven't seen a more honest post in a while. It's WHEN you get hot and when you don't right now.

Allot of innings with no time limit to be played.

I would rather be in the lead, but it is a difficult path ahead to hold the lead for the next 4 games.

This. When Vandy went 26-3 in the conference in 2013 and lost in the Supers, it felt like a kick to the gut.

A&M is one the most impressive and complete teams I've seen in a while. I can't figure out how they got so good so fast. Really impressive.

Reminds me a lot of Ole Miss in football.

u to admit it on this board, but any rational, logically thinking person would admit that State is the biggest threat to taking the lead of the SEC from A&M.

That's true.

It's also true that any rational, logically think person would admit that A&M's conference schedule was more difficult than State's conference schedule.

No body thinks that. Maybe A&M fans. No other fan, tv analyst, coach, baseball poll voter or expert thinks that.

You realize we play the exact same teams except A&M plays South Carolina & State plays Mizzou.

Care to rethink that, genius?
