Last play of the game.
Now that said, after the second to last play the announcer unknowingly draws a penis

If's are for losers. I hate them as much as you do. We lost the game but it was close and no other game for either team's schedule was close. So, the 2 best teams get to square it off again but this time for all the marbles, and the BCS trophy of course. Last time was a practice game. This one is the one you want to win.

They may have had some talent but they were not that good and certainly weren't dominant by any stretch.
See "hobnail boot".
All that talent gave up 35 points to a pitiful UK team.
Will Overstreet? Please!

Will Ssban throw something DIFFERENT at Chavis this go around? The Bama kicker doesn't nut up..Bama wins the first one in regulation.
If Lsu scores any of it's 3 f***** red zone trips we win by a larger margin. Get over it. We would have won no matter what.

then Matt Mauck and the quarterback draw and our offense only scoring 3 points the second half kept us from playing for a second National Title in four years.

It wasn't a matter of "Ssban throwing something DIFFERENT at Chavis."
It was actually an example of not having a 2nd string QB practiced and ready to play within our gameplan. FYI, on many many of those plays Mauck was not running the "QB draw". He was just running. He was slow picking up WRs because he hadn't practiced. Just worked out that UT was also unprepared for a run capable QB.

Counting on Bama's kickers outside of 50yds and into the wind in a pressure filled game is like rolling dice and EXPECTING 7's on every cast.
Just ridiculous.
Ridiculous coaching decision.
Ridculous impression of those kicker's capability.

This one always makes me laugh. But he did miss 3 of his very long kicks and had another one blocked by LSU's defense. If you don't make your plays you lose. LSU made their plays and they won 9-6, game over. Now on to Jan 9th!

Makes me think about 2001 all over again. We spanked LSU in Knoxville, then Matt Mauck and the quarterback draw and our offense only scoring 3 points the second half kept us from playing for a second National Title in four years.
As a diehard LSU fan I will say that win was as much about luck as it was preparation. Rohan Davey was one of the best QB's we've had but in that game UT had him figured out. They had a late hit on him that put him out of the game. In came Mauck and LSU changed the entire game plan by necessity. Also, UT had a couple of timely turnovers that also cost them the game.
Not trying to take away from LSU's awesome win that helped launch this program but in the end a couple of things happened that changed the game. It wasn't because Saban out coached Chavis.

What different do they have? McCarron ain't running the option, it would be suicidal against our guys. We're going to get a heavy dose of TR runs inside, outside and catching the ball out of the backfield. He will be spelled by Lacy who is good, but not as strong and, thus far, not as demonstrated a playmaker.
Is McCarron going to suddenly become an All SEC QB? No. Our guys (particularly JJ) always look better in post-season than during the season.
We've got a better shot at surprising Bama, though their defense is very, very stout.

Foster's first miss was wide right from 44 yards. That is not beyond his range.
It is beyond his accuracy level though, at 22% for attempts of more than 40 yards. He has made 2 attempts this year, one of them was against LSU.

I am sure that is how Alabama approached the last game, just practice. Not like the chance to play for the "meaningless" SEC title was on the line or that Bama was certain that they were in the NC game regardless of the outcome of Nov. 5. Keep telling yourself it was practice. It makes the pain of losing at home to LSU, missing out on the SEC championship, and an undefeated season less painful.

Tennessee wasn't prepared for Matt Mauck's mobility. Had nothing to do with Saban adjusting to Chavis' defense
