You didn't spank us. We threw a hail Mary that would have tied the game with a 2 pt conversion, and our WR dropped it in the endzone. You haven't spanked us since the 90's.

please no facts for this mountain gump. clearly the delusion is creeping across the border affecting him.

My prediction is if the gump kicker has to kick 42+ yard field goals again he will once again miss.

two of bammers kicks woulda been short anyways so technically they only missed ONE that woulda been long enough anyway but whatever makes them sleep better at night.

If Shepard turns and runs that catch into the endzone, instead of laying down he scores 6. If Randle catches that TD pass in the endzone we score another 6. If, if, if, if, if!

With "nut up" meaning hit kicks outside of said kicker's range.

Foster's first miss was wide right from 44 yards. That is not beyond his range.

Back in high school, I could hit 90 mph when I threw my absolute hardest. I couldn't control the ball and had no idea where it would end up though. I feel like that just because the ball had the distance doesn't mean it is in his range. I don't have his stats right in front of me, but on 40+ yarders, his accuracy is dramatically decreased if I remember correctly.

Yes, this is correct. Well within his "range". He actually made it if the goalposts were positioned 10 yards to the right. Duh.

Not this year. And over the past 5 years, Miles has easily been the best bowl game coach.

The one he actually made was from 46 yards.

Does the fact that he shanked the frick out of his first try make Saban an idiot for sending him out there to try it? I guess in hindsight it does. 44 yards is not a ridiculous range to ask a guy, especially a guy who is theoretically the "long range FG kicker," to try to make.

Mauck was in because of a cheap shot that put Ro out of the game. No way to prepare for that!

Tiger D forced 2 turnovers which set up scores.

Tennessee wasn't that damn good. Casey Clausen? Get real!

Bama's kicker had one blocked and the others were long distance! Check percentages of successful kicks from that range, college or pro, and get back to us.

Bama had 104 yards in the 2nd half, most of which came on one run.

BTW, the Vols still suck. Enjoy 1-7 in the SEC.

I get tired of hearing this bullshite.

You blame the kicker when he misses a 30 yarder in the middle of the field.

Two of those 'missed fgs' barely made it to the end zone, much less being high enough to clear the crossbar - even if the crossbar had been 10 yards wider.

I guess a team could score a 'moral victory' by sending out an anemic kicker to 'try' a field goal instead of punting regardless of field position.

If Saban thought he only chance to win the game was to try for miracle field goals, then nobody should be touting them as having 'dominate LSU.'

Hell - he should have 'dominated' his team another 10 or 15 yards down the field on ONE of those occasions and win the damn game.

Alabama got beat - fair and square.

Hell - we dropped a pass in the end zone that would have ended it in regulation. That was a more 'sure' thing that went amiss than praying for a field goal miracle.

Given what is happening in Knoxville, how can anyone from Tenn claim that Chavis was not a good coach. He is better than than the two douche HC's they have had over the two years. Literally, the only notable change Dooley has made in 2 years is wearing orange pants...

There are 11 players from that team that are still starting in the NFL 10 years later, I would say they were pretty solid.

I disagree with your premise that Saban is the best coach in college football.

Saban put his kicker in the long try position- he had other options, pass, run punt but after all he is supposed to be the greatest coach so I guess he made the right decision

I for one don't fault the kid who was kicking- he was being asked to do something out of his skill set
