Makes me think about 2001 all over again. We spanked LSU in Knoxville, then Matt Mauck and the quarterback draw and our offense only scoring 3 points the second half kept us from playing for a second National Title in four years.

Will Ssban throw something DIFFERENT at Chavis this go around? The Bama kicker doesn't nut up..Bama wins the first one in regulation.

Bama gonna give Chavis some looks on Offensive he hasn't seen before? Is the Bama defense going to throw in some new wrinkles against JJ and the offense?

Saban is the best coach in college football. I think it's going to be awful tough to beat him twice in one season.

Alright some predictions on the game...

Not this year. And over the past 5 years, Miles has easily been the best bowl game coach.

You didn't spank us. We threw a hail Mary that would have tied the game with a 2 pt conversion, and our WR dropped it in the endzone.

You haven't spanked us since the 90's.

I always forget that Saban is his own offensive coordinator.

26-18...Kelly Washington had a huge game. We knocked out Rohan Davey and the starting TB in the first half of the SECCG. Fulmer and Chavis bought got out coached in the SECCG.

what i remember about that first game in november was squandered opportunities in the first half, LSU was only up 7-6 at the half but could and probably should have pushed in another score or two. It came back to bite LSU in the arse in the end as Tenn woke up in teh second half and won the game

LSU just wasn't a mature enough team at that point to capitalize on things that a more experienced team finds ways to do. That changed by the second time they played. That and I think Tenn took LSU too lightly because they just weren't used to the idea that a LSU team could be for real, esp not after what Florida did to us earlier in that year

End result? LSU won the rematch and deserved to. That was the start of LSU to the top of the SEC (first of four SEC titles since 2001) and the start of Tenn falling off the mountain in the SEC (no SEC titles since then)

Right.

With "nut up" meaning hit kicks outside of said kicker's range.

Sounds like a coaching - not kicking - problem to me.

You are correct. LSU will have no wrinkles in the game plan for Bama. We've shown our hand to the little master mind in the first match and the future outcome is evident.

Vol fans would know what out coaching looks like...it's hard to argue with that.

Camouflage is a wonderful tool in a fight and Saban is a great tool to camouflage how good Miles is, has the wool pulled over your eyes for sure and I hope all those gumps and gumps fans think Saban is the best coach also, I hope they keep thinking delusional

If the mighty Saban loses in the next game, how big of a hit does his "best coach" reputation take? Bama fans and others have said this Bama defense is the best ever. How does it sit well if they lose twice in the same year, 3 in a row and then likely 4 in a row? I would think it would be tough.

ummm so 26-18 is a spanking? I also bet you forgot that TD at the end we almost got that would have made it come down to the 2 point conversion at the end. whatever makes you feel better though.

My prediction is if the gump kicker has to kick 42+ yard field goals again he will once again miss.
