I get your point, but unless he's willing to take a mid-major or rebuilding job, it's going to be a while before Muschamp gets another HC offer.

I think Chavis would have been a better head coach than Muschamp

What job could Muschamp get after two years at Auburn? Why would he take a cut in pay to coach at a smaller school? He is an Auburn Alum, his nephew is on the team, he has a long time connection with Auburn. I can not think of a situation that would get him to leave.

Yes, I'd be pretty shocked if an SEC team not named vandy offered him a job 1 year removed from whatever that was he was doing in florida.

He went to Georgia.

And the situation that would get him to leave is an offer to be a head coach again if that's what he wanted to do. And a head coach anywhere. Gus Malzahn went from an Auburn coordinator to a head coach at Arkansas State. Chad Morris just went from a coordinator at Clemson to head coach at SMU. A&M lost it's WR coach to be head coach at Kansas. Two years ago we lost our special teams coach to be the head coach at Nevada. Three years ago our DC left to be the head coach at Fresno State. McElwain left Alabama for Colorado St. It's not rocket science. Head coach is better than coordinator.

Really, I always have respect for Auburn. I think LSU and Auburn have earned each other's respect. Plus they had Bo Jackson the greatest athlete of my lifetime.ATM hasn't earned shite in this conference.

He might actually believe that. He might be paying lip service.

Is he saying that a team cannot contend for a National Championship with him as head coach?

Muschamp was a grad assistant at Auburn. AKA grad student. He has a master's in education from Auburn. That makes him an alumni of Auburn.

You can be an alumni of more than one school. Why is this so hard for you people?
