Don't care. We lose to LSU every year and still have more total wins since joining
Way to go little brother.

Well one of the reason was the contract language about Chavis's contract being null and void if Miles were to no longer be the coach, so...
Well he basically gave it away that Les Miles was retiring soon anyways. Otherwise why in the hell did we give him over a million to hire someone and land with Steele?

Then we'll show how A&M has a better pass D and LSU has a better run D. In the end it all goes under the Total Defense category.
Let's do Yards Per Play:
LSU - 5.33
A&M - 5.28

Yep. Bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy. My favorite part of all this is some Aggies talking out of both sides of their mouth in regards to the clause. Forcing a fat sweaty man onto another man may be a part of the Aggie culture but everywhere else it's institutionalized gay rape, and that's not cool.

When he flew to Tennessee and offered him more money than A&M?
That's False. Alleva refused to negotiate with Chavis. Chavis wanted guaranteed money and wasn't going to get it.

I'm pleased that a lot of the team fan reps here for the university are happy about good discipline and technique. Good to hear. Amazing how low your standards are for what your school has in resources and what it could actually do. Your defense should still wear dresses by the way. You lost to Auburn - at home. But you shut out Vandy? Really? And, if you think this is the answer, well it is to a point, for as bad as it is and has been. But you'll soon realize it will only take you so far. And, you're pretty much there with this regime.

Your obsession with sodomy probably requires some professional attention.
Here's a little coaching contract education for you slow learners--in the market for top college football coordinators, a 2 year guaranteed deal (meaning you get your two years regardless of what happens) is pretty standard. By inserting the Les Miles termination clause into the proposed Chavis deal, LSU was basically telling Chavis that they weren't going to meet the market terms--if Miles got canned, all LSU would have owed Chavis is six months pay.
If Sumlin were to pull a Sarkisian and get fired this off-season, Chavis's guaranteed contract would not necessarily mean that he would be sticking around as the defensive coordinator for another year or two (depending on the timing), but it would mean that the man is going to get paid for the term of his contract. That's it. That's what the going rate is for top coordinators.
Alleva knew that he wanted Miles out, and wasn't willing to take on any avoidable guaranteed contract obligations. That's the long and short of it.
