think Pitt more talented and balanced than on offense than any team Bama has seen this year. they been averaging 38 points a game the past 10 games or so. they played a tough schedule, at va tech, at miami, at unc, at okla state, and lost close ones. their lost to UNC was on a last second bomb into the end zone.
but Pitt got 4 bogus 3rd and long PI calls in that game, and still only won by 1 point on a 48 yard FG with 6 seconds left. if there was a good ref team calling that game, Pitt loses 28 of its points. one of the annoucners joked all Pitt had to do was just throw the ball in the vincinity of a Pitt wr to get a flag. :)
Watson threw for 580 yards on like 55 out of 70 pass attempts. one of the greatest passing performances i've seen but unfornately he threw two inceptions in the endzone and one was run back for 70 yards. that's sports. breaks your heart sometimes :)
i think Pitt's D would stack up well against Alabama's offense b/c Pitt's scheme is about stacking up against the run and Hurts not really type of QB to make them pay consistently in the pass game.

Pitt-Clemson game was nothing like LSU game. ref team made consistently bad PI/holding calls on Clemson on 3rd and long passes. i wouldn't complain about 1 bad call, it is the consistentcy and volume of them in a certain situation that is unusual. Clemson likely win the game if they didn't make 1 of the bad 4 calls. they also called Boulware for a personal foul penalty and all he did is help make a tackle.
this was the same ref group that had a bunch of bogus calls on Clemson in the G Tech game. the penalties on Clemson in the two games called by these refs is much higher than the other games Clemson played in with other refs.
Clemson was shredding Pitt's defense but Pitt was only penalized 3 times in the games for like 30 yards. Clemson was penalized 10 times for like 100 yards.

Well I haven't got the best impression from Dinich over the years when she was primarily the ACC blog reporter for ESPN. She would always boost up the ACC in FB preseason then pretend she never did when they always collapsed.
But Cecil Hunt made a no-no, and he's now getting lambasted by others in his profession. You can totally disagree 150% with Dinich's opinion regarding Alabama, but he went beyond that - he trashed her professionalism as a sports reporter because of her opinion regarding Alabama. Poor move on his part, even if many feel he's right...

I don't think Dinich's question is unreasonable. It's just a riff on the SEC having a down year, At the end of the day.
They have a lot of air time to fill, so things like that are going to get tossed out to jumpstart a discussion. Cecil needs to take a chill pill.

I have said this from the start. USC is seriously our best win. We're 12-0 so she'll have to deal with that but we played a pretty bad schedule. That was the most talented team we've played.
