@CFBHeather on Alabama
Look, I love bama and I think they're good and deserving of #1, however, Heather has a valid question. The teams that were highly ranked when we played them have tanked and appeared not to be too good as the season has progressed.
ETA: Just look at the current rankings. Our best wins:
#11 USC
#14 Auburn
#15 Florida (hopefully)
#21 LSU
#22 Tennessee

They mostly tanked because of injuries.

My message to Finebaum&Co.
You intellectually neutered, politically correct pathetic ESPN wimps can kiss my Alabama arse. Never to be viewed or paid the slightest bit of attention again.

And you could go to any Bama Fan website and find a poster that writes similar flap news that Cecil writes.

By the way...her pre-season top 4 were LSU, Clemson, FSU, and Oklahoma

She was barely competent when she reported on the ACC. Now that she is the official ESPN reporter for the committee, her incompetence is magnified. There are a lot of terrific female commentators who know what they are talking about (and are hotter as well), and she is not one of them. I never knew how she got any credibility when she started. I certainly do not know how she is still on ESPN or why anyone listens to her. Well, I can presume why she is still on ESPN....

...and we beat USC 52-6, but I am sure they have gotten much better from what I have been told. I mean...they had to play Notre Dame and we all know they were preseason number 10 before they lost about 8 games.

Cecil is about as neutral as beat writer can get. You must have not read any of his stuff during the Shula years.

Not really defensive, just bored with hearing "the SEC is down" every single year since 2008

She's gone full Finebaum. And her mistake was not a "prediction" but supposed to be an observation based upon her knowledge. Apparently, she doesn't follow football closely.

Dinich is just a typical biased ESPN employee. I don't cafe that she's a woman she is just so obviously big ten biased. And she's not great to look at either.
Neither am I great to look at but I'm not on TV either.

Well the SEC is very down this year, i don't think Bama is totally above reproach even though they are clearly the best team to this point. Why are Bama people so hypersensitive and defensive to anything that isn't totally deferential?
First, of course, every fan base is defensive.
The annoying part of her comment is something you hear a lot this year and it's a convenient "sound bite" that never takes the point to its logical conclusions.
For example, if you're gonna ask rhetorically who Alabama beat it kind of follows to ask why Wisconsin (and therefore Ohio State and Michgan who count that as a huge quality win) has benefited so much for their win over LSU... Or who has Clemson beaten since Auburn isn't a good win? Who has Oklahoma beaten that Ohio St gets so much credit for that win... Why can't Michigan win on the road? Etc etc...
It's just intentionally shallow logic that makes one seem like they're simply "trolling" especially in a season where there's a lot of 10-2 to 8-4 all the way from the Top10 teams down to "others receiving votes" that seem pretty interchangeable.

alabama is overrated. they haven't played any balanced teams on offense, and balanced on defense and offense.

We will see Tillman. You just need to worry about Va Tech honky.

The story here isn't about whether Alabama has played anyone or not, it's that the douchebags in the national media like Feldman & Schlabach that are running to her defense. If Cecil Hurt had said that about Clay Travis, those guys don't say a word. They are white knighting because she's a woman.
Hurt is right. National College Football media's full of idiots who claim to be experts but don't really bring anything to the table that an average fan couldn't bring.

i think she's the one that tried to say Lville was better than Clemson even after Clemson beat Lville, simply b/c Lville blew out NC State and NC State could have beat Clemson if they had a kicker. she conveniently ignored Lville barely beat Duke at home the week before, and Clemson's star RB Gallman was knocked out of the game in the 1st quarter of the NC State game.
