That's right. Minor league football >>> SEC football...

A lot of the CFL is pretty much guys who aren't good enough for the NFL but were good enough in college. So CFL is a "better product" than college football too?

I kind of like how college baseball isn't that big to be honest. It makes it more of a pure game. It's not tainted by big TV dollars and high profile players. You get some really good players here and there and overall the product is still entertaining, but cheap to attend. As a fan as long as you enjoy the sport you shouldn't care if it doesn't get a lot of attention or some people don't care as much as you. Just enjoy it for yourself who cares who doesn't.

Of course, but Alabama only had 3 or 4 football games last year that would be worth a second watch.

A couple guys that played college baseball: 2012 NL MVP Posey (FSU), 2011 AL MVP Verlander (ODU), 2011 NL MVP Braun (Miami), 2008 AL MVP Pedroia (Arizona State), 2006 NL MVP Howard (Missouri State), 2001-2004 NL MVP Bonds (Arizona State.)

As far as Cy Youngs go: 2013 AL Scherzer (Mizzou), 2012 AL Price (Vandy), 2012 NL R.A. Dickey (Tennessee), 2008 AL Lee (Arkansas), 2008-2009 NL Tim Lincecum (Washington), 2006 NL Brandon Webb (Kentucky), 7x winner Roger Clemens (Texas), 5x winner Randy Johnson (USC)

Don't act like the NCAA is just some island of misfit toys worth of shite baseball players when it is proven annually how many top pro players also suited up in college.

Yes, pro baseball players should beat college baseball players just like how pro football and basketball players should beat college football and basketball players. C'mon Kilo, this stuff isn't hard.

I like college baseball and I want my school to do well in every single sport. But at the end of the day, college baseball is about as relevant as women's volleyball. If it's your favorite sport, that's great, but some here tend to overstate it's importance in the grand scheme of college athletics.

Does it really matter how big a sport is perceived to be though? It's like people will talk about a sport and some will come say, "no one cares" as if it will take away from their enjoyment. If I'm pumped after a big friday night win against a ranked team and someone tells me, "its college baseball, no one cares", its not going to take away from my enjoyment.

I keep hearing about all these posters who claim that college baseball is as popular as college basketball nationally yet not links are ever given.

No one ever said that some good players dont come out of college. Its the exception however.

Lets be clear here, are you really trying to say that college baseball is "better" than Single A baseball? Thats been my position. The strawman you built here is lame as I have never said that good players have not come from college.

No, not at all.

But the reality is there is no "Big three". There's the huge one (FB), the big one (BB), and the rest. People here try to claim otherwise all the time.

I can understand why people don't enjoy baseball.

It is a slow game. If I had never amounted to shite athletically or never played baseball at a high school level, I might dislike it, too.

I am trying to get all of the "knuckle draggers" in one place. It is working pretty well, actually.

Did I think anyone would oblige? No. This board is predictable. I just wanted to see their reactions. Also predictable.

I just think big 3 comes from the popular "american" sports and that's why baseball is included. It's not about the money and it shouldn't be for us fans. That's why baseball is included in that big 3 category.

Not in the SEC.

We have schools that draw more for baseball than basketball.

My school supports three sports well.

Is this you starting to mount the "baseball is a thinking man's game" horse?
