What you said...

quote:

If and when NCAA investigators find clear and convincing evidence of major rules violations committed by a football program whose coach previously worked for and with Emmert at another educational institution?

What you meant...

Alabama is the only team keeping us from an easy trip to the NCG and I am scared.

Where do I not "get it." I've spent the majority of time on this thread telling a kid that Emmert was at Washington when Greene was in trouble. Maybe you have a tough time reading handles and understanding posts. I get it, you're a Bama fan.

I agree with the unfairness of that situation, how Dareus just happened to have a receipt on a napkin - or something patently ridiculous. And how the poor thing was drowning his sorrows over his mother's sickness by partying with agents. He knew exactly what he was doing.

The T-Town Menswear scandal with picture proof of wrongdoing was swept under the rug, just ignored. Makes you wonder how much stuff has been hidden in the SEC office and never even reaches the NCAA.

The NCAA investigated AU because of a rumor (internet gossip) that Cam just may have received a discount on his Heisman suit, but yet not even the tiniest flag was raised about Julio appearing in at least 18 different suits complete with shoes, accessories, etc., a different one for every game. Pictures now - not just internet rumor.

Yet this is just accepted. How much favoritism is bammer going to get before other programs get fed up? And don't say AU got favoritism. A year-long investigation by the NCAA with them TRYING to find something is not favoritism.

It's very easy, actually, especially when a blogger is posting misleading photographs (like of a kiosk in Birmingham, claiming it was T-Town and a photo of Albetar at the 2008 spring game, claiming it was the '11 game - after he had been banned). Proof with dates is a Facebook photo of a recruit photographed at a party with said school's hostesses... ;)

Hell, how many suits does each of your players own? And the NCAA investigated Cam because his father ADMITTED to shopping his son around initially to MSU.

Take your conspiracy theory shite back to ITAT/ATPB.

Just to make sure I understood - The NCAA investigated Cam Newton, after a scandal broke about a guy trying to get money from MSU for him and then his father admitted to shopping him. Right after the fury over the NCAA announcing that he was still eligible, somebody questioned what he paid for a suit, and the NCAA actually looked into it.

But Julio Jones has been photographed in multiple different suits, AND ACCESSORIES, and even SHOES, and the NCAA has done nothing about this.

Yes, I can see how you would be bitter.

Hell, they posted pics of Joe Pannunzio on the sideline, said it was Albetar and ran with it.

He admitted to talking with MSU. He never admitted to shopping Cam to any other school. And also the other schools never mentioned this "shopping." Even this MSU booster/agent said AU was not involved. Talking to one school's booster about a sum of money is not shopping - shopping means trying to get the best price from multiple schools, and I'm still waiting for proof of that.

Yes, I'm bitter. Of course, most AU fans are bitter that we were assumed to cheat with no proof of any wrongdoing - none, according to the NCAA. Yet one of your boosters is pictured with boxes of jerseys and current players signing them, and all is perfectly innocent.

It is a known NCAA violation for a current player to advertise for a business, and there were multiple pictures of current players outside this booster's store with their pictures and jerseys in his window displays.

Bitter? Yes. But admitting AU bought Cam Newton? Not without proof.

so a picture is worth a thousand words...rumor has it that it was auburn photoshopped pics that were sent to clay and sports by brooks..amiright DA..plus the Robinson guy said Bama had done nothing wrong..I tend to think he knows what he is talking about over clay and brooks. ONe is a reputable reporter and the other two are gossip bloggers. Sorry you dont know the difference..So if someone takes a pic of a bama football player driving a new car and sends to clay then the new "truth" is that bama bought him a car..see how simple that chit works. again you are a DA

Right. Bought.

I guess all players are pimped out in a different suit, tie, shirt, shoes, sunglasses for EVERY game, right? Where would Julio find the money to buy that many suits? Maybe his mother had one of those nice house-sitting jobs. Or maybe Julio had a little deal going with his signature on just one or two jerseys and maybe a football or 2 to "earn" those suits. Quite a cozy little deal until old Tom got careless. And no one believes those pictures were photoshopped. AT ALL.

You believe nothing went on at T-Town Menswear because it was your program. AU fans believe nothing went on with Cam Newton. Only difference we had to be checked out to make sure nothing happened. Bammer was allowed to say "All is well" and nothing was investigated.

You're going to compare the North Carolina stuff Darues got drawn into, as well as the T-town Menswear, to the Cam Newton investigation. His dad did admit to shopping him afterall. If the first two are shaddy...

When the player is a current player and when it involves compensation.

But we all know Julio and friends hung out at a clothing store because of the brilliant conversation. Hung out in bunches and even had their girlfriends and families hanging out there too. Must have been the excellent bean dip or something.
