All you need to know about Emmert is that the TTown Menswear stuff had actual proof as in dated photos and not a thing came from it whereas AJ Green got 4 games for selling one jersey.

Wasn't Emmert at Washington when this punishment was handed down?

Absolute bitterness. Hell I am bitter than Dareus only got 2 games because "his judgment was impaired" due his mom's illness. Yeah, he was so distraught by that , he just had to go out and party with an agent in MIami. F this crap from the NCAA. Hell, I didn't even hear of a NCAA investigation into the mess. IF there was nothing to it, why did Alabama excommunicate the booster so quickly?

I'm not saying that you shouldn't be mad at the NCAA, just not sure Emmert was even there at the time.

you are too mad and too naive..you think every investigation by the ncaa is made public..Bama self reported and obviously the NCAA reviewed the case and accepted. UGA has not been in trouble with the ncaa in a long long time and bama has and yet you are crying over a 4 game suspension for AJ. You need to seriously grow a pair.,

also from what I understand Marcel and his folks cooperated 100% and that minimized the penalities, plus he paid back the amount that he was told he owed for the ticket etc. Not all infractions are created equally because they are not the same.

Didn't realize you were talking about him. I was talking about the recent self reported violations.

1. Like someone has already said Emmert was at Washington at the time.
2. What proof? The fact that he had memorabilia in his windows with a sign that said "not for sell"
3. If you knew the owner, you would know that he is one penny pinching SOB and that if he was giving anything away or even discounting suits then someone must have drugged him and replaced him with a clone. In short... he's a cheap arse.

those are minor stuff/secondary in nature and teams dont get hit with sanctions over that..if so everyone in the ncaa would be on sanctions.

I realize that. But at the same time, it was what you self reported and they haven't accepted it yet.

well, considering that the only way the NCAA was able to even figure out the thing had been sold was Green willingly allowing them access to his financial records, I would say he gave complete cooperation as well. AJ Green also paid back the amount. Marcel Dareus accepted a greater amount of money and knew he was talking to an agent. AJ Green didn't know he was dealing with an agent, but he deserves 4 games. Yeah, sorry, I still don't get it, and yeah, I am still bitter because those jackasses took away 4 more opportunities for me to watch one of the most dynamic players to ever play at UGA.

so you are inferring Bama is going to get the death penalty for those secondary infranctions. Bama released them for an entire year to the press. I bet they reported them to the ncaa when they were aware of it. so I feel pretty good bama has been notified by the ncaa of things by now
